Its been kind of our thing to check out the lesser talked about places in Brazil. We did the "Farm" in Campinas and we were rewarded with excellent day action so we rolled the dice again on this place out in the middle of nowhere. Only visited Das Flores, we left Ipanema around 9 pm using Uber and as stated 60 BRL, amazingly we did not have trouble getting a ride so far out of town. Its like 75 min ride West away from everything written about in this forum, LOL. The uber pricing just proves what a good value this service is in Brazil, $12 split between 2 guys. Its a ride so sit back and chill, you pass many small towns and open highway there is a military base close to the club. We arrive around 1030 pm and found the place typical for a blue collar club. Surprisingly, it was clean, organized and spacious, I was expecting a more rough venue. Temperature controlled and really nice experience for the effort involved. About 30 girls more arrived after 11 pm when the club started to fill up. They give you a sheet a paper to fill in your purchases so don't lose it. Beers were cheap don't remember pricing but everything here is excellent bang for the buck. I found about 5 of the girls doable and picked one GND type and at 145/ HR the room, shower and experience was as nice as anything I have had in Brazil. My buddy was happy with his selection as well. The staff enjoyed having us as it seemed outside of locals they don't get many folks from the Southern Zone. My girl asked me why I was there since there were far better clubs in Ipanema. I just laughed and tried to explain the "explorer" mindset but doubtful she fully understood.
Now, would I return. Depends, you are leaving plenty of easy action closer to your hotel, airbnb. Was joined for a trip by a non-monger friend at the last moment, so didn't get to meet any Rio veterans while there. Looking back, I should've avoided budding up with a non-likeminded individual, but I didn't have a heart to say no. Here are a few thoughts (I won't bother you about some touristy things we did).
Sexual health / mindset.
I'm in my late 50's and not in my prime shape if I'm being honest. Still, I don't know if the 2-year hiatus from my last trip is to blame, but I found that this lull in activities made it even more difficult to me to cum. Took Maca for 1. 5 months prior to the trip, and no considerable improvements. Taking or not taking Viagra didn't make much of a difference either. Basically, when I tried to have sex more than once a day, the second time became more of a chore, and I didn't have enough leche anyway, so it wasn't too enjoyable.
Money.
Copa is the best bet to change money. 5-5. 2 are to $. It was less than 5 in Barra, Centro or Tijuca. My Schwab account offered about the same rate from what I can tell. Used credit cards in stores, restaurants, etc. Use reals in termas, don't pay with credit cards or exchange dollars there.
Hilton is GF now!
A welcome surprise to me was that they do allow guests now. I tried to sneak a girl in first, but the guard caught up with us at the elevator and made me register her at the front desk. Also took her to a pool with no issues. A huge difference compared to 2 years ago. At this point, I can wholeheartedly recommend Hilton. The rooms are a bit dated, but great location, free breakfast and lounge access for Gold / Diamond members, ocean-view rooms and 2 pools open until 8 pm.

Before the trip, I got the CPF number specifically to get a phone chip easily, and it failed. I think it was the SEP number? (fuck if I remember all that bullshit) that prevented me from completing the registration process. Turned out that even with CPF you can't get the chip unless you're a Brazilian, so I had to go to the fucking TIM store (the Claro line was 10 people deep) and get the chip with my passport and waste 2 hours of my life. Never fucking again! And yes, I know it's supposed to be easy in Centro, but I'the still have had to get to Centro first, so what's the point?
Restaurants.
The most memorable were Marius, Churrascaria Palace (as always), and Gran Parilla, a great Argentinian spot in Barra. Both Marius and Palace are in the $50-60 range and worth it if just for the experience (but the food was superb, too). Contemporanio, on the other hand, was a disappointment this time. Blunt food, and 50% of the menu was unavailable.
Girls.
I took it easy this time around and had a few repeats rather than just looking for a new pussy every time.
Flavia from Solarium, are $800 with a few drinks. Liked that "mignon" a lot, so repeated with her at Bambina motel in Botafogo, then took her back to Hilton to relax at the pool. Highly recommend Bambina. I took their top room with the pool and hydro (R600 for 3 hours), had a lot of fun with her (too much actually, as my condom got torn to shreds, LOL). Regarding TIM chip. If you don't have any CPF, go to a Lojas Americanas and buy a TIM chip from the TIM seller who will activate it for you. Another option is to buy a TIM chip on the street and call TIM and activate it (this option needs patience because there the staff answering might not be the smartest).
If you do have a CPF you can very easily activate the TIM chip yourself in just a few minutes. Along with the chip comes instructions. Something like:

The place to buy TIM chip isn't at a TIM store as they almost always are out of stock. They sell them at pharmacies, Lojas Americanas, the news paper kiosks or street vendors. In December I paid 12 reais. No need to go to Centro.

Almost every restaurant / bar had lots of GPS. Not just Meia Pataca, La Maison etc. All along Copa were restaurants with GPS.
