Another failed atempt at Amateur Pschoanayisis
I think a lot of the alcohol thing is about overcoming inhibitions. A lot of guys are so hung up about sex that they can't just approach a chica sober and talk to her about having sex, so they have to go through this elaborate process of drinking for hours while they try to pluck up enogh courage. If they are traveling in a group that is a sure sign of insecurity and the problem will be even worse, because they are scared of losing face in front of their friends who are bound to ask them about the sexual experience with the chica the next day. Additionally many of these guys don't speak a significant amount of Spanish, so they can't really have conversations with the chicas when they get to the room, so being drunk provides a useful cover.
Some folks can make P4 P very complicated for themselves.
We have folks who spend thousands of dollars, travel thousands of miles, stay in expensive hotels just to meet Sosua hookers. Some bribe them with fake hair, travel with racks of dresses for the hookers, try to impress them with white linen suits, candy or like me, coffee makers :)
Others will not spring for 65 peso beer.
We even have guys that "sneak" into licensed premises without buying to score Sosua putas, LOL.
They float outlandish theories on why guys go to bars in Sosua (or anywhere else for that matter). They are either working up courage to approach a Sosua puta LOL, or have fear of rejection by a Sosua puta LOL, get drunk so they won't have to talk to Sosua puta back in the room. LOL, and worst of all, Oh the humiliation! Losing face with ones travelling companions LOL. I've read bullshit before but this takes the cake!
I go for a beer after work a couple times a week, whether I'm in Sosua or not, don't need no miserable guy in a corner hiding from the owner because he's not buying, trying to psychoanalyze me, while using the restaurant venue to scoop up spare putas. Probably stealing the condiment packages off the table too. There are folks like that who complain when they are asked to leave.
Actually when I'm in my favorite bar with female friends having fun over a couple beers, There IS usually some guy nursing a water or coke eyeing us, hoping for a spin off. Trying to hang with our crowd. I know the type well! and so do the owners and staff.
A newbie reading these posts would be led to believe it will take a 7 year apprenticeship before you can be truly successful with a Sosua puta.
I can see why there's so much negativity on this board, a lot of guys still have no clue what is actually going on in the brothel we call Sosua.
It ain't that complicated, folks. Show 'them your money, they show you their pussy.
Don't be a killjoy. Live and let live!
Making my first trip to the Dominican and Sosua!
I just wanted to introduce myself and let you you guys know I really appreciate the information you have provided on this board. I will be visiting July 1st-5th and am staying right in the heart of Sosua within walking distance of the beach and all the bars. I have been researching over the past couple weeks and have looked at Campo and Curacao, Blackbeard's, the all inclusive resorts, ect. I was planning on going the safest route with one of the all inclusive resorts (being a Gringo) or Blackbeards, but I really want to experience Sosua. I certainly will be careful and have a good head on my shoulders but still excitingly nervous about my trip. I am going to continue to read up on the board and learn more before my trip, and luckily who I have rented from is from the states and has been traveling to DR from 20 years now and lived in Sosua for 2. He has offered to be my guide in the city. Anyways, thanks again. Now back to doing some research.
