I predict that countries will also demand that visitors seeking visas of any form will have to satisfy very specific criteria such as provision of a health certificate obtained within 72 hours before travel and health / travel insurance cover of at least $25000 USD. Cambodia has already instituted this requirement for visitors once the borders are opened, but the travel insurance coverage is $50,000 USD. PH is likely to follow this trend.

Every 2-4 weeks, reviews are done whether to move areas from ECQ to GCQ and flights scheduling which routes to resume.

Guys I have been monitoring the situation daily for any updates and official information and it seems there has been some news. I am just trying to scrape to together the various bits of official info to get the complete picture. It would be great to discuss this and for others to add what they know from official sources without rumour or conjecture.

Here is what I have been able to gather. NAIA has now reopened with a limited schedule. According to the IATA website the information that foreigners are barred from entry has been removed. After trawling through the Embassy of the Philippines London Website all references to visa and visa waiver suspensions have also been removed and replaced with advice for foreigner nationals entering the Philippines.

Now here is where things start to get a little muddy. The advice for foreign nationals entering the Philippines is in the form of a very large pdf document with a lot of acronyms and jargon. After a speed reading through it, it seems foreigners will be subject to rapid testing upon arrival and will have to wait for the results in a facility (I think for 14 days). If the results are negative you will then self quarantine for 14 days.

Therefore at the moment unless you plan on going for a month or longer it seems totally unpractical.

[/QUOTE]Foreigners are not banned from entering the Philippines, but foreigners without a permanent visa (a 13 A) or a Philippines passport cannot yet get a visa.

I have a 13 A, and when I enter next week (hopefully) I will be tested and then allowed to go to my designated home address for self-quarantining for 14 days.

This can be impractical if flying half way across the globe.

The need for medical insure is already required for non Europeans visiting Schengen on a visit visa (Euro 30000) so I will not be surprised if the Philippines introduced this.

As for restricting foreigners. Am sure many countries what no one from the USA visiting anytime soon as well as people from selected European countries. This is sensible (unless they have the correct certificates or something) followed by 14 days somewhere. Meaning you likely can't monger etc. So for a short time wham bang thank you maam visit to AC or anywhere you spend 14 days playing with yourself watching porn LOL.

Certainly the country needs FDI and cash as some say but also there seems to be many dreamers on the board or mongers with extremely large blue balls letting their todger to the thinking and writing LOL.

So if you can't afford a long holiday, then its not feasible. Can't expect too much in this pandermic. Maybe better to stay put and find alternatives.

And also the countries where he was in from past 14 days is very important for kind of restrictions made towards him.

Looking from the top virus numbers chart, some countries definitely are in the doldrums and will be barred entry.

The low virus ones will have easier access and less stringent.

Guess some of these unlucky people will be eating sour grapes for quite awhile but its inenvitable.

As for those already there, its a matter whether you can get a live in partner to ride through the ECQ as most accomodations don't allow visitors and transportation halted.

Once moved into GCQ, first thing for me is to change the girl.

Surplus cash and emergency funds on the books is one thing as they found with Typhoon Yolanda.

When funds are distributed there is quite a shrinkage factor.

Just announced apart from Manila, Laguna n Cebu city ECQ extended till end May, all other areas going from ECQ into GCQ from 16 May.

A cautious trial start, lets see how it progress, hopefully smooth sailing to slowly revive the domestic economy.

DG. I agree was chatting with GE on this and we said what happened to the billions of dollars of aid that was raised from Yolanda. Plus current complaints of not getting he hand out at all or being short changed by the barangay people.
