dude! you were in a bar. did you expect genteel conversation from mexican hookers? :-d lol.
just yanking your chain a bit. yes, the spanish is a bit coarse, but the thai in nana plaza is certainly no better.
these days, many of the semi-pros leave their thai sisters in the dust, looks-wise. also, these days, the girls in the hong kong club put the thai girls to shame in looks and dancing ability. as with all places, the service levels with the hotties varies all over the place.
i don't speak spanish. the english was ugly from those mexican girls. you know the "fuck fucky sucky sucky" type of stuff. thai girls speech is a more refined when they speak english, and even more so when the speak thai.
i think looks thing varies depending on personal taste. hong kong looks are usually not for me.
i have seen some georgous mex girls in movies although none seem to be very well known except maybe salma hayek (who is not really my spec) , but not so many in tijuana.
anyway, in the end, thailand is so different, its not worth comparing to mexico, i'm sure. comparison to other parts of asia makes more sense. thai girls working in europe for same prices as european girls, are still popular since they are known for good gfe service. chinese girls working in europe are generally a lot less popular due to ordinary looks and service. the good looking ones are somewhere else.

Off topic
I am amazed at how many recent posts on this thread are only very peripherally relayed to Bangkok, Thailand.
I thought there were other threads available to talk about HK, Tijuana, Mexico in general etc.
As someone who wants information about BKK prior to my next visit, I struggle to glean adequate updates from RTFF (recent posts). At least there was some recent updates about Cowboy.
Rather sadly this thread, as well as the threads about MPs, seem to be rather off-topic.
Perhaps it's posters' way of saying BKK is dead right now and they have to chat on about other places or days gone by in order to keep the thread active?

Latin vs. Asian world
It is not a stupid or pointless debate at all. It's an unavoidable conondrum when you want a sure good outcome for your trip.
It also funny to debate because the cultures are ar their exact opposites rhen you find the unexpected similarity. For example rhe 100 pipers whiskey I have only found popular in Thailand and Argentina, WTF?
Years ago I was sitting with Jackson in Buenos Aires commenting on the smelly shithole that Asia was. Guess where I am now.
All I say is that if you have been to a place but not the other, you should really stimulates your senses with a chanve.

You have daily updates and the general situation by going back just few pages. Or you think we can describe howw each Thai lady pussy looks, smell and costs? Go ahead do your findings spend your money then report or move but don'f whine if few postings are not just about your daily fix.
Juarez is a war zone now. The murder rate is just staggering.
My first trip to BKK was in '99 and, yes, there was absolutely nothing in Tijuana that came close to Thailand. But, the worm appears to have turned, or is in the process of doing so. I try to keep things in perspective, and I hate the guys that sit around and tell you how much better things were in the old days. BKK is still fun, but it seems a lot of the "sanuk" has gone out of the scene.
Yep, the "sanuk" is gone. Much of that due to the social order crackdown and the better economy, oh and there are a lot more young farang dudes around as well.
Sorry if the forum does not respond to your expectations but what is that you want exactly?
A bit of overkill in your response Marcos. You must have extra testosterone to burn off.
All I did was draw attention, albeit politely, to the creeping "off-topic' nature of the various Thailand boards. I was merely perplexed that guys wanted to discuss the ins and outs of other places on the BKK board when threads about those destinations are available elsewhere.
What do I want exactly?
Just up-to-date stories and anecdotes, experiences (good and bad) , information, details, etc that relate to Bangkok. Not an unreasonable expectation to have for a board headed "Bangkok Reports"
The other threads that I follow in addition to Thailand (HK, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia and Mongolia) tend to stick to topic far better but anyway, it's no big deal. Posters will still do whatever they want.

If I want to read about Tijuana I go on the Tijuana forums.
If somebody wants to debate about Tijuana vs BKK he should address this in the Thailand general thread but as I said, then we should also debtae BKKK vs. Singapore, vs macau and so on and so on.
Diluting the specific information on the thread title will favour the class managers to whom we answer RTFF: what the hell will they learn by RTFF if it is "polluted" by references on Tijuana?
As an alterntive one can always opne his own "user forum" and can open a debate of whatsoever topic

Hopefully many more Japanese will soon be pulling out of the NEP & SC gogos, Bangkok & LOS in general:
http://news.asiaone.com/news/asia/thai-unrest-has-japanese-firms-worried-about-future
"Unstable government, flooding, minute decisions on immigration and other important matters, crime, higher wages. The list goes on and on. Unless someone responsible takes control the gravy train will come to a stop. Too many other countries with open arms."
"New minimum wage that is far above what people in Cambodia or Myanmar or Vietnam are paid, and there is the perfect storm.
"Many see those Vietnamese girls as absolutely stunning. Perhaps the sexiest in SEA. The Japanese men can easily make due with eager Viet girls. No worries."
"Would be interesting to see if countries such as Japan shift out of Thailand due to the lapdog status of Thailand with regards to China. If so, that is going to cost Thailand big time. If you are close friends with a bully, people tend to avoid you. I suspect Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam are rubbing their hands with glee. And yes, Vietnam girls are stunning. The Japanese mid level workers will be fighting to be posted there for work.
"And if the Thais are going to continue being best buddies with Beijing, the Japanese are likely to take their business to places where the government isn't in bed with the Japan-hating CCP.
"And if that happens, bye bye civilized Thailand, Hello again 3rd world country"
"If they continue to reinvest in Thailand and trust the Thai promises, they are fools."

How well do guys manage with Bangkok bargirls, if they have no English at all?
I mean if the bargirl cannot even say "How much will you pay me?" can it all be done with sign language, or is a mamasan needed to translate and help reach an agreement?
I suspect my newbie bargirl probably doesn't even know what a "Blow Job" is (in English that is) , although sign language could work okay. We actually had a very nice 69. Fortunately with me there is no problem, as we converse in Thai only. However I worry how she will cope with other customers. I have established that she likes sex though.
I already worry though that she is getting too attached, as on good-bye today she suggested I should avoid playing up with other ladies. Ha Ha! Not the first time have heard this from a bargirl LOL. I also worry that I should teach this girl a lot of things that are useful for bargirls to know.
The novelty is exactly why I would go for a haircut with some type of massage or sexual activity to go along with it, Chinaton hookers? Please do share I was not aware of this previously do you have any details?
Sorry for the late reply.
As for Chinatown, there are tons of street hookers around Wong Wian 22 (the traffic circle) , and Mit Phan / Maitri Chit roads going from it, and then Charoen Krung for the small stretch from Mit Phan corner. All times of day or night. Going rate 300-600. See map: http://goo.gl/maps/NCZ26
The area around Phadung Dao (the busy street with open-air seafood places on the corner with Yaowarat) also has quite a few sex workers, especially in the small side street to the right (going from Yaowarat). More active in the daytime. Broadway hotel (right beside / behind the corner seafood place, see http://goo.gl/maps/uLAHF) has Chinese hookers (going rate: 400).
Another major low-budget area is south of Rachadamnoen Road (parallel with Khao San Road) http://goo.gl/maps/r72ua.
None of these are set up for Farang, service tends to be abysmal and ST rooms dinky & unclean. You almost certainly won't enjoy the sex, but you might get some thrills from the hunt.
As for a haircut sex place, that's not really a Thai thing (more like Vietnamese / Korean) , but for the record, I've been offered sex at a hairdresser on Sutthisan Road 100m from Phaya Thai Road intersection (near the Thai-oriented naughty bar area). Haven't tried.
As you pointed out that is an huge statement. My last time in Tijuana was unbearable, the misery and predatory attitude is really hard to deal with. Sure Mexico is bigger than that but knowing what the cost of life is I don't see how one can compare to Thailand. You can have a great night out for $100, that is not much in Mexico. There are no clean $15 guesthouses but there is a lot more drugs and violence.
Then there are so many things I can't stand, and I speak almost perfect spanish. Yes the exoticism of Thailand has faded for me too but still better than most other places.
When was the last time you were there? 2008 and 2009 were some pretty dark days, indeed. Much of that was due to the USA but that's another story. But now the economy is much better than before and Tijuana has really reinvented itself. It's now a serious foodie destination (who knew?) , the "regular" nightlife is a lot of very reasonably priced fun, there are a lot of freelancers and semi-pros around. It's certainly not BKK but you'd be surprised if you saw it today.
It seems the debate here is BKK vs. Tijuana (where the Hong Kong club is).
With no flaming intention I think it gets endless if we start to compare one place with. Thousand of other ones. If not why not comparing with Macau, with Singapore, with NYC, with Rio, Shangai, KL, nd so on and so on.
The original point was not to compare BKK and Tijuana. I've been a fan of LOS for many years. My point to Mr. Goat was that, value for money, Tijuana is now a better option than BKK, as least as far as p4p goes. I happen to live in SoCal. Obviously if I lived in Europe things would be different. I never thought I'd ever think that. But both places have changed. A lot. IMHO the looks, service and value in the BKK bars have declined to the point that I don't go to them anymore. I still go to LOS regularly, just not for the bars.
I think looks thing varies depending on personal taste. Hong Kong looks are usually not for me.
Just a quick clarification. The Hong Kong club is a large strip club in Tijuana's red light district. It's basically an American strip club that plays by Mexican contact rules. Lots of very pretty girls dancing and running around in various states of undress. Lots of touching, groping, etc, for a $1 tip. I'm not big on strip clubs, but if one likes them, there are few anywhere that can compare.
It's a bit like the go-gos in BKK used to be 10 or 15 years ago.
