Why are guys so happy that Help is closing? I never really understood the mind set of some of the guys on here and other boards who hate Help so much. I have heard them them say shit like "I wouldnt care if the place burned to the ground". If you (speaking in general terms) do not like Help, then dont fucking go there!!

For instance, I think Scores is the biggest rip off place in NYC. A bunch of super skinny, silicone tittied women. who way over charge for lap dances and watered down drinks. However that doesnt mean that i wouldn t want other people to enjoy the place. If thats your thing, then by all means, have a ball!

Why cant mongers just have the attitude that "Well Help isnt my cup of tea, but as long as other guys gave fun there....)

They are just reporting it as it has been a long time coming. I, for one, am disappointed that I never experienced it once even though I had plenty of opportunities to. I was hoping to go in 10 days. Missed it. But, it was not cup of tea. I had plans to go several times but actually got sidetracked with other options before heading in.

But I think most guys here have the attitude that there are different strokes for different folks. And I sense they support everyone's choices (for the most part). I'll report on immediate post-Help Rio in 10 days.

Hey man! We must be reading different forums. Sensation I get is a general feeling of regret that an institution like Help has closed. Maybe it wasn`t really my cup of tea, but you always knew it was there. I will miss it.

i'm happy because of several reasons.
1. help and the people frequenting help has driven up the prices sky-high. the girls are spoilt. a gp in copa should be more than satisfied with r$ 100-150 (maximum)/tln without needing to bargain. if the help-girls will continue to make a decent living they will lower their prices. i like low prices. :d
2. help closing means a lot of gps will find new places to work. termas, mp, balcony, av atlantica, prado junior, centro, vm, escorts etc. i think the new scene will be interesting.
3. i always stay in an apartment very close to help. now the neighbourhood will be much calmer. less scum hanging around in the side streets, less noise, less smell of [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord109][CodeWord109][/url] etc. excellent!
4. imo opinion help fulfilled no need at all. if i want to buy sex there are lots other options. if i want to go clubbing there are also lots of other options. help is (sorry, was :)) just a club with super-expensive low/average-quality gps.

This is terrible news, I loved help, I will be in Rio for 3 weeks in December, and was looking forward to visiting Help at least half of those nights.

So. Now where can I pick up a girl at 2am, slighlty drink, and slightly horny? Please let me know!

I know alot of people didn't like help, but as an earlier poster said, if you don't like it then don't go, its not causing any harm to anyone, and I for one loved it, and as far as I am concerned its a great loss.

Although I didn't frequent HELP a great deal, I had some great fun there, back in the day. As early as 1990, it holds for me, some fantastic memories. Great socializing, dancing, drinking and some terrific GROPING with some very lovely honeys over the years. Ahhh!!

I think, however, that what some guys do not realize and what I fear most, is that the closing of HELP is just the beginning and sets precedence. Ask yourself, "...what great mongering establishment is NEXT in line to fall?" VM, 4x4, L'uomo, Balcony, Barbarella, La Cicciolina, Monte Carlo, Centro, Buenos Aires 85, Buenos Aires 113, Rua Uruguaiana 24?

Didn't someone already just post a report about VM possibly shutting down? In any case I guess we'll all just have to adapt, whatever the outcome.

I used to like Help 1991-1997.
More girls, higher quality and freebies were not that hard to find.

Me personally have been going to Rio since 2005

I too don't choose any of girls any longer because of the asking price

I never thought it had to be full of talent because there always seem to be one (1) who I'll do LOL

But I still enjoy the atmsophere it still is going to be miss.

I'm still waiting to see a report from someone tonight or tomorrow who can actually confirm that they went by there and it was closed. Can anybody actually confirm this? Not what somebody said. Can anybody actually say they were out front of the place at midnight and it was closed?

It is not just Help closing. It is the whole country of Brazil which is changing. No more double digits or treble digits inflation. No more external debt. Corruption being fought back. Oil found which will make Brazil a new Saudi Arabia. Levels of consumption rising. More Brazilians travelling abroad, etc.
Brazil is becoming a 1st world country fast ... and the USA and Europe are slipping.
Soon the Brazilians will come to the USA to bang American chicks for cheap !

When you travel throughout the country you see road projects, foreign corporate offices and plants being built, lots of activity. Inflation can still be problematic and it certainly not all smooth sailing. But opportunities galore for those who go after them. There is an emerging middle class here now.

They finally did it. All things come to an end. It still saddens me they have closed. Well, I had lotsa fun, and have great memories. Valeu!

It should be very interesting how things work out. Will be there in about twenty days. I'll report back with what I find.

fair enough, i've noticed this problem myself. in fact, the article linked below quotes a gdp openly admitting that gringos paid more:

the advantages i saw in help (back in the golden age) were: a.) selection, b.) the possibility of tln, and c.) open late. correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't know of another rio venue that could house as many gdps to choose from, particularly at that hour. (4x4 would be closest, but still open only weekdays until midnight and fewer girls than a packed help night.) in theory, you could go anywhere in rio and a gdp who likes you would give you tln (if they didn't flake out first.) however, it was always easiest to get tln from a buzzed, tired help girl who you hauled out to your nice hotel at 3-4am.

yes, this would be a clear benefit to help's closing, unless of course they simply rep001ter to the boites near leme, the centro area, or wherever else we gringos will be going.

i've elaborated on what i thought were help's unique advantages so it was fulfilling some need, however increasingly poorly over time. i was never one of its biggest fans but i will miss it.
