As soon as I stepped out of the publico in Sosua a very attractive, young and slim chica pounced, saying "Remember me?" Even if you can't find any attractive women, Sosua is a pretty good place to just hang out in, eat and drink, and relax, although admittedly the weather can get pretty hot around this time of year if you don't know how to stay cool. You could go over to Cabarete for a change of scenery and a bit more breeze. However, there are always some attractive chicas around in Sosua. Personally I do find that the vast majority of chicas there don't appeal to me sexually, so you may have something of a point, but it only takes one good one to make your day, or even make your weekend. If you want to get onto the next flight out from POP to MIA, you will definitely have to pay through the nose.

The rest were all big mamas, just not my cup of tea.
This was my first trip to Sosua. Luckily, I enjoyed the beach, the people, and the food. Hence, I had a great time. However, I am not sure I will go back to Sosua, as I can find all of these things, and more, elsewhere.

When people with very few posts start asking questions which can easily be found in the forum, there are a few people who wonder if they are for real. When your only other post, 6 months ago, says you've been going to Tijuana and DR for 3 years and now you're planning a first trip to the DR, it's easy to assume you're not for real.
I am a little confused how a Puerto Rican could accidentally type DR instead of PR, but stranger things have happened. I'm also wondering why someone would go from Newark to Tijuana, rather than Cancun or even the DR. It's been a long time since I've been to Tijuana, but it would need some serious improvement before I'd travel farther than from downtown San Diego.
You're worried about ending up missing or in prison in Sosua, but you had no worries about Tijuana? Do you also wear a condom to church, but bareback with the girls in Tijuana? Sorry, my skepticism is leaking through again.
I can say, with absolute certainty, there is a 0% chance of you ending up missing or in prison in Sosua.

The Caribbean is hot this time of year, and it's hurricane season. Those two facts, and others, are why this is the "Low Season" in the Caribbean, which means 1) few tourists and mongers and 2) few chicas.
Stick around. Catch a few rays on the beach. Go for a swim. Have a few ice-cold Presidentes and some of Big DS barbecued ribs. Come November through next March, there'll be more pussy in Sosua than you can shake your dick at.

It is just a tropical island, palm fringed beaches, close to home, cheap to get to and stay, with literally hundreds of local women offering cheap sex, you don't even have to get out of your chair to make their aquaintance, just a little eye contact.

But surely, anybody who knows how to click a mouse, can find more than enough info to get a clue what Sosua is like. There are Youtube tours, millions of photos, day and night, which show it at it's best and worst, and the type of women available. What you see is what you get!

Hope you are well, but Sosua is no longer a cheap destination to go to. When I started going almost ten years ago flights to POP were 275 usd round trip. Now I can't find anything less than 650 that doesn't have a layover in Miami and I live in Florida. Also the videos portray Sosua at its best as an exotic wonderland. So I can easily see how these guys can be misled if some of the current things are true. Several dynamics could be in play here Sir.
1). Maybe the recent election with the pro tourist candidate winning is causing the smart pretty girls to lay low awaiting the fallout.
2). Maybe guys have fallen for the " I'm a student and I don't want to be in Sosua " line and set the pretty girls up with money allowances to stay away from Sosua. This could possibly move the quality down a notch in Sosua as the big girls seize their opportunity. The cops have no interest in arresting the big girls because they have no desire to fuck them. Or maybe the dudes who have a preference for big girls have cultivated a market.
3). Maybe the turnover for the premium girls is very high thus creating other options. The premium girls will holdout for their price but the big girls will be more reasonable. After drinking for a couple hours in Rumba those big girls with the fun attitude become more desirable.
4). Maybe Mr E and Radshack have devised some diabolical plan to run off all mongers and have Sosua for themselves LOL, which I doubt. These are veteran travelers so I value their observations. Another option is the tourist board is flooding Sosua with ugly fat girls to kill the sex market, which I find funny.
Someone recently reported that during the week the families come out and enjoy Sosua but disappeared when the weekend wolf packs arrive. Our Sosua is in transition and the future is unknown but I still think it's a great place if you hunt in the path less explored. The side bars, Puerto Plata, even Cabarette offer a refreshing change with a side adventure. I've expanded because of the airfare prices and have found the hidden treasures on the other side of the island. I can fly into SDQ for 350 usd round trip and I have a great hotel on the outskirts of Boca Chica with big suites for 40 usd. Not very many mongers over that side to compete with plus you have San Pedro, La Romana, Andres, and Santo Domingo all within an hour bus ride for the girls. Most girls don't mind coming for a visit and what happens after that depends on how you operate.
Hopefully guys will continue reporting about their Sosua adventures good and bad. Isn't that what this board should be about?

What you are discounting is the hideousness of the women that were there the day I was there or that the days the posters with other negative reports were there. Before I witnessed this for myself I would have said the same things to a first time visitor that you are saying. The whole while I was there, I was thinking of Lefeu's post; this mf was not delusional at all.
It is easy to tell someone they are crazy when you were not there at the same time that they were and were not privy to witness the same things that they witnessed. I didn't see it so therefore it ain't true. Like the mother who believes her kid is such an angel, but when not in her presence everyone knows him/her to be a devil. Not my child!
And literally hundreds of women? How many hookers would someone estimate Sosua as having at any given time? I wouldn't put the number as hundreds. Last Tuesday I can assure you that there were not even ONE hundred. And as I attested to before, only 3 of those were doable.
