500 baht is certainly still [I]possible[/I], but that's the bottom end of the range, and given the looks on Beach Road these days, bottom end there is horror zone, and I have a reasonably strong stomach. Over the last few years, the going rate (that most ladies accept without much discussion) has been 700, but some try to stick to 1000.
Either Rasputin didn't find my wad of 1000-baht notes acceptable due to the Black hand holding them, or they're fresh out of Russians, as I was unable to secure one.

I checked some of the gogos in Pattaya.
Palace: there were some real stunners in that club, the most impressive lineup I ever came across in Thailand. But competition was fierce (the club was packed) and some of the stunners seamed bored.
