I talked to one of the former Ano Nuevo girls in Queens last night. She said Ano is closed permanently, and Queens will be closing soon. BTW, there were about 5 good looking women there, out of about 12-15 total. There were only a couple of customers, so not much of a party atmosphere.

And yet Burrito Alley stays active - complete with the matted black hair wanderer that has been a long time fixture there.
So where did all these chicas go or plan to go?
Any rumbles about Hollywood or did I hit on something with the King Of The Hill thinking?

Read many good things about Cleo’s, so I hit at 3:30 PM.
After I rang the bell a male voice told me to come back tomorrow.
They close at 3:30 on a Saturday? WTF?
A drawback to Cleo’s is there are no other MPs close-by that you can use for back-up.
So I paid a taxi to take me to Siluetas’.
Had a great time.

Walked to Shangri-La restaurant afterwards.
Great food & ambience for 100 pesos.
All the restaurants I try on Americas Ave. are very nice.
They aren’t cheap though. Average price is around 100-120 pesos plus tip.

The cabbie tried the old trick of walking into Siluetas with me so he can get a kick-back.
But I was on to him. I just walked around the block until he left.
Had an interesting conversation with him.
‘so you see much violence?’
“yes sir I can take you to the pharmacy. Anything you want sir.”
‘no, do see much violence, not Viagra’
“yes sir I can get you Valium, Viagra, anything you want sir. No prescription sir.”
So I guess I know who to go to if I ever want to be a junkie.

At 3:30 the pedestrian entrance at the Santa Fe was packed.
So I hit the pedestrian entrance at the free bridge, which took about three minutes.

Took a cab to the free bridge b/c it gets dark so quickly now.
Walking around Juarez in the dark is too high a risk for me.

Both of them didn't look thrilled to be there - one more so than the other. In fact she (Jennifer) looked 1/2 asleep. The other while a little more lively, was much rounder than I wanted as well so I opted out.

Any later and it's dark (and now cold). Any earlier and it's a 100 mile round trip only for the sports book. In fact, those aspects kept me home today watching games that would've made me money.
That all used to be a Friday nite gig for me but no more. Too many worries to be found in El Centro for me.

They recently had a mention of the BJ on the local news. Ridership is down 75% and they cancelled the soccer team trip to Juarez because of the violence. This stated by a BJ representative.
Is Karla still at Cleo's? I haven't seen her my last 2 visits. And which one is Jennifer? How is her service?

A recent visitor to Juarez reports that Pink Lady's and Casa Colorada are closed, can anyone confirm or deny that?
Thanks C32. Do you happen to know what the other buses were? They weren't trolleys. Looked like regular U.S. city buses except they were crossing the border.

they could've of been closed monday, but do they close up a place for only 24hrs?
so i don't know how reliable your info is.
also, pink lady is pretty good about monitoring ****d girls.

However, rumor on the street has it that they've been shaken down by the narcos and some of the girls are afraid to come to work.

I read the "El Mañana" newspaper, from Nuevo Laredo, daily. Juarez is not a good place to go these days in my humble opinion. Please correct me if I am wrong. There have been numerous multi-person assassinations in recent days. Do they stay away from the touristas?

It seems to be as such at this point. Their beefs are "inside" and now are shaking down local businesses more - perhaps to compensate for any lost funds?
If you listen to some on this side of the river, one would think everyone is running around with a gun in hand just shooting anything that moves. Those being the ones who use phrases like "My friend heard from their cousin who knows someone that heard..." in most cases. Read some of the local (El Paso/Las Cruces) online newspaper forums for some of that "insight".
But, myself, I do expect it to carry over to American tourists sooner than later if only because of the economy, the upcoming holidays/shopping trips and the ability to blend in with the big crime. Very opportunistic atmosphere.
Right now, it seems to still be the Policia as being our biggest "threat".
Just my .27 pesos worth...
