I am on my way to CTG for the first time. I have been reading back post trying to gain all the necessary information I will need for the expeirence. It looks like LDV is the place for chicas. Other than that there is Tu candela and late night it is Elektra. Price is 150K-200K for TLN. No daytime action. Does that about sum it up or can anyone add anything?
Also, I reserved an apartment in Bocagrande from Cartagenaapartments.com. Does anybody know anything about them?
I will be leaving in a few weeks and I'm just trying to do the homework. I appreciate any and all info you guys can supply.

People like to rent from Juan or Mery. Not sure if I'm allowed to post the web sites here so if you pm me I will send them to you. I've rented from Juan myself before and he's a nice guy.
It sounds like lately you'll be lucky to get short time (1-2 hours) for 150-200K. LDV has been skyrocketing from what I understand.
Daytime action can be had by hitting the beaches. Be sure you ask for all prices in advance for everything (chairs, canopy - "carpeta" in spanish), drinks and food, if any, as the "tonys" will likely try to rip you off.
The casino (next to LDV) might have a few girls hanging out in there too. Don't recall what time it opens - early afternoon (4pm) I believe. Just sitting at a table at one of the restaurants around LDV can produce a nice view and possibly some tail. They return from the beach around 5-6pm usually.
LDV doesn't get started until around 11pm. Even then it's a trickle of girls.
If you get phone #s from girls after screwing them and you want to see them again the next day (or morning), call them.
The other clubs are late starters I believe too. Many of the girls from various places will end up in the Tu Candela area once their places close.

I just got back from Cartagena yesterday and there is plenty of daytime action if needed. I have been going for the past five years and never had a problem finding something during the day.
You can go to the beach and Tony will have someone available. The only problem with Tony is he will try to upsale you on everything from chairs and beers to girls. He introduced me to one girl and told me she wanted 150, 000. About an hour later I saw her walking in Laquito and got her for 50, 000. There are other regulars like Alba and Sandra that come out about 3:00 in the afternoon. I like Sandra who is a spinner that will do everything. She will ask for 80, 000 but I got for 40, 000. She is a very nice girl, spend some time with her and treat her nice and she will be willing to be with you the next time for a longer period of time for just a few pesos more.
Take a walk around Bocagrande and Laquito and when you see a girl walking, smile and if you get a response, strike up a conversation and see what happens. There are many semi-pros that come into town at different times of the year, so there may be more available when you go.

I did however write you a long report on things to do in Cartagena, places to go, contacts you might want to use for mongering, e.t.c., but you obviously have not paid a subscription to Jackson, which permits you to receive p.mīs. If you are seeking information, it is worthwhile to pay this subscription, as the cost is minimal compared to the information you can receive. It is kind of disheartening to spend 45 minutes of my time to write you, only to not be able to have you benefit from it, because you have not paid your subscription. I am also curious as to why you are asking about apartment rentals now that you have already reserved one. This should have been done prior to any bookings you made. I also think you would want to stay in Laguito more so than Bocagrande. With Dave from Colombianrentals back in Medellin, I would only rent from Juan Ventura, as the guy is all class, and will do anything he can to accomodate your needs. He is highly recommended on the forum, and if you do any search on Yahoo or Google with his name and Colombia, you will get his contact info. I actually spoke to him this morning, and he will be in Barranquilla for the next several days, but he always checks his email. I also will be meeting him for some business related meetings next week, so if you want me to check on apartments, send me a p.m.

The condos are going to have private access to the beach, and are located close to the Americas and Atlantis condos. Maybe something like, "Hey, my hotel room is just down here, do you want to see it?". Would that work? Something else perhaps?
It will be pretty obvious a girl is willing to go with you. If she stops, smiles and acts interested, then not much needs to be said. Perhaps you could ask her name and where she is from in limited spanish and take it from there.
If a girl is not working, she will keep walking. If she is working, she will let you know.

There always seems to be a number of more aggressive ones that will try to make eye contact with you..and then there are those that just stare into deep space.
It's not surprising that only one took 100K. They are all looking for 150-200K+ now short time. That one that took 100K probably caught hell the next day from the girls. They seem to stick together in pricing for the most part.

On the beach you can usually figure out who is working. Although I have made the mistake of being wrong more than once. Usually if you are unsure who is working, ask them questions about why they're in CTG. Are they students, what their job is, vacation etc.

I went with some friends one day and saw they actually did get their $$. I never did hear if the people got their money back after all the investment group's bank accounts were frozen. I was in the Del Rey the day everyone got the news. Some sad faces and lots of booze that night.
