I would hardly call it the biggest party in town. Objectively speaking it is probably the biggest party in any hotel. High Society when things were open was always a bigger party and cheaper to boot, but there isn't a pool in high society, so maybe that's the deciding factor for you.

I've never stayed in ABC, it never seemed worth the money to me. I have been to Aqua a few times and have female friends who liked to go there regularly because they would get free drinks from the bar tenders. Girls get in for free. Guys pay 500 entrance consumable. The few times that I was there there were always more employees there than customers. And the live musician was so bad I was on the verge of offering them money to just stop playing.

As a pick up scene, theres just not enough people that go there on a regular basis. Sure if you stay in the hotel, it doesn't cost you anything to pop in and check it out, but as an outside, unless you're going with people. For 500 entrance, its not worth it.

I frankly think its a shithole. Its so dark in there for a reason so you can't see how filthy it really is. .

They might never open again and they might open next week. Barretto bars are open, very limited hours but they are open. No need to start rumors that they will never open until it comes from an official source.

But they took that out without there even being a virus. Brazil still does not have a booming economy, and still has poor infrastructure and poverty. Fact is that these little sex bubbles that serve foreigners mean nothing to these countries; at least not as much as the foreigners that partake in them want to think they mean.

Their clients go there and fields Avenue caters to only select mongers who are looking for small bars, cheap drinks, reasonably cheap hotels, cheap girls, party atmosphere, cheap food, cheap massage and everything cheap. High end gamblers and KTV clients have their own supply of babydoll look girls Who command high prices.

Long time ago Bangkok also tried to close patpong, nana plaza trying to move it outside Bangkok city. Prostitution creates its own economy which supports a host of businesses. Even alternate venues are chosen to replicate fields Avenue it will fail.

Korean and Chinese speculators are clamoring up and down Fields secretly buying up the properties. Not to mention making big under the table payments to city hall.

Personally I don't see it. I am hedging my bet with 5 kilos of rice and 5 cans of Mega Sardines every month to a select few of the unemployed bar girls.
