Medellin Reports

I have begun researching massage therapists in Medellin on Google & Tripadvisor. I have an idea of pricing & types of facilities available, but have not yet decided on a particular place or therapist.

Do any of you guys get therapeutic non-sexual massages in Medellin? If so, please give me your recommendation. I will be more than happy to let the therapist know your referred me if you like. I am looking for one of two things:

1) Trigger-point massage done by someone skilled in releasing tendons & ligaments.

2) Swedish massage massage done by someone so well you practically fall asleep.

Because of my bad back I get a lot of trigger-point massage here in the USA, and I am used to a strong massage that actually hurts for a few days after. I would love to find someone in Medellin who can do that. However, I would be more than happy with an excellent Swedish massage therapist as well.

Please provide name & location of therapist as well as contact info. I do not have to go to a fancy spa. I understand that many independent massage therapists work out of small shops or even their own homes.

I was so excited about my first trip to Colombia. The road from the airport descends into the city of Medellin from the mountains that surround it.

Its breathtaking, the weather was beautiful and the city is green with vegetation. A breath of fresh air compared to Bangkok but not nearly as convenient. Somehow I feel they are saving themselves for that local guy who will knock them up and if it hits the skids at that point they might enter the sex trade. Either that or the BF or husband is the one also pimping them out. When you do hook up beware of gringo gouginig and "shitimacy". Most boutique hotels, guest houses etc. Don't allow you to bring in a local chick without paying some ridicules fee. So yes a beautiful city with more difficult operating instructions and frankly the food culture is horrible. Deep fried baseballs and ufo's everywhere is a recipe for indigestion and most of the chefs don't know how to cook well. If you dulge deep enough you will be able to find a decent place to eat or a supermarket that has quality selections. If you want to blow your brains out with cocaine and whatever chemicals are mixed in with it that won't be hard to find and its cheap. Ultimately this can lead a tourist to say. Medellin where the coke is better than the women.

I was at the Medellin Beer Factory and observed six very nice looking chicas between 10:30 and 11:30. Two were walking the sidewalk outside the MBF. When I went upstairs to the restroom, I met two coming down the stairs, and two more in front of me going down the stairs as I left. All six indicated they were P4P. I talked to one of the last pair and got her phone number. This morning I chatted with her. She initially asked for 100 dollars, but came down to 200 mil pesos without any negotiation. I will probably see her tomorrow.

All six were slim, no noticeable tattoos, and just looked classy. Some I have seen in that area are rough looking.

They are a little meat heavy but that doesn't bother me too much on vacation.

The ones who can't afford the surgeries are mostly the Centro street & strip club chicks. Of these chicks I know, only one was from a upper class place (Estrella from FaseII) The rest were VeraCruz street chicks and Conejitas & Barra Ejectiva strip club girls.

While finding women with no kids isn't a sure thing, I wouldn't call an 18 - 20 mother of 1 a MILF, even if it is technically correct. I found the supermarkets to be excellent, regularly shopping at Euro, Carulla and Jumbo. Cheap produce with a selection that puts most US supermarkets to shame. Restaurants might be bland to people who are used to the oversalted, excessive fat content stuff served in the US, but it's healthy and cheap. Fresh fruit juice instead of carbonated sugar water and a full plate lunch instead of a burger and fries, at less than half the price.

Never tried the coke, at least not in Colombia. I remember it well from my younger days and even the average women were much better than any line. My problem was finding the time to spend with all the ones who were making me offers.
