Room M212 at the Mansion.
I did the same thing last year, while I was living in Poblado. Booked 2 nights at M2 in order to check it out. I was there Friday and Saturday nights, although I didn't stay in the room Saturday night, only returning Sunday to get my stuff and check out. Here's my impression.
The room I had was 212, which had no bathroom. I had to use the bathroom at the pool, which was closed for renovations. The room was cheaper than the other rooms, but more expensive than Hotel Porton Medellin, where I had stayed a few weeks earlier. The Mansion room, if it had a bathroom would have been a 2 star room, while Hotel Porton Medellin was 4 stars. The furniture looked like it spent 20 years in a frat house, before being moved to M2. At least the room was clean and quiet. I understand that they have remodeled that room since then. It may be better now.
Has anyone stayed in this room at the Mansion (M212) since this poster stayed in it last year? I chose this room in particular for a future trip in part because the website said that it has a hot tub in the bathroom (the pictures show what appears to be a large and new bathroom, including a toilet, a hot tub, and a shower). Could this bathroom be the result of the renovations that they did after this poster stayed in that room?
I understand that the Mansion's accommodations are sub-par for the price, but the lack of a bathroom would be a real problem, if only because it might make sessions and showering a bit awkward. The false advertising would also be a bit troubling.
