It was a good hotel and amazing access to the station. I went public transport the whole way but my T-Mobile reception was sometimes crappy around the club so just pointing out if you do that then I had screenshots of the train times back to Frankfurt Hbf main for the night hours. The trains go back all night but there's a slight gap between 1 am-3:30 am so just check that so you're not back at Darmstadt hbf during these times as you could be staying in the club instead of waiting for the train. Also make sure to get the 9 euro ticket from the DB ticket vending machines. It gives you free access to all the trains, buses and trams (except the flixbus, the IC and ICE trains but you won't use any of these for getting to sharks or Mainhattan). Also, different than in the states but you just walk on the trains and buses. There's no scanning your ticket to get on. It works on the honors basis but there are ticket inspectors who come on and check so just make sure you have a ticket and honestly for 9 euros it's not that much to just have it.

I caught the Rb67 rb68 train down to Darmstadt hbf in the afternoons (just check google maps for the best options) and then took the are bus in the direction of Nordstradt. It leaves from bus platform 2 right outside the station (there are tall green lcd screens with platform names on them. Just look for platform 2 once you walk outside the station). It's only about a 7 minute bus ride from Darmstadt and you get off at Daimlerweig. Anyways, just wanted to point out the bus and train option was incredibly easy. The are bus I think stops running in the evening hours so you may have to do taxi at night.

For getting back to Darmstadt I used the freenow phone app. It's a taxi hailing service and works just like the Uber app. Anyways it was 10.70 euros to get back to Darmstadt from the club in the evening at about 12:30 am. It's a special deal between June and August to ride (not all) trains for 9 Euro a month. Not valid on long distance trains (ICE, EC, IC).

It lasts for the entire month you choose (June, July or August) and can be used on all public transport but not the flixbus, IC or ICE trains. But for Frankfurt as an example, it will work on the S bahn (subway), trams, buses as well as the RC trains down to Darmstadt and back. If you end up travelling to other cities within Germany you can use the same ticket for that cities public transport for the month you chose. At the DB ticket vending machines you just pick the month you need. As I was there in June I chose the month of June. In July you would need to buy another 9 euro pass and likewise in August. After August the promo ends. A significant saving vs having to buy individual tickets, day passes, etc.
