I woke up to this headline in WSJ: "Thailand Government Declares State of Emergency for Bangkok. Measure Takes Effect Wednesday and Will Continue for 60 Days."

This sounds ominous. Do people seriously expect the elections to take place and more importantly to count? The situation just got ratcheted up another notch.

Same thing occurred in 2010 when it was the Reds turn. And with that one a curfew came into play. I was in BKK than (and this time too). As with now you watch where you go and if there is a curfew get your take away sooner than normal. It was interesting seeing soldiers in the Silom road area and some in the Sukhumvit area back in 2010.

Since the action usually starts later I would assume it would be after the curfew. Are these places without action at all at night? How late can tourists roam outside at night?

I don't know why anyone wants to go watch Coyote in gogo bar areas. Crazy House near cowboy has 20 beautiful girls dancing to disco music somewhat Coyote like but the difference is they are totally nude. That makes a big difference to me.
