Need some advice.

I am on a business trip to Chennai and have been given accomodation in a 4 star hotel. My colleagues from other offices are also staying in that hotel. I know it is not safe to do mongering in the company provided accomodation but I want to know if anyone has successfully tried this brave attempt in the past.

There are three points of Risk.

A. Reception. Most star hotels don't care who is coming in and who is who, so this should be fine.

B. Colleagues who are check-ed into other rooms. There are 10 of them. And they aren't my friends, they are from other departments, so they have no reason to disturb me at night.

See. Security cameras in the common area. Of course I will do an initial reconnaissance before the actual operation and if I see there are security cameras in the common area, then mission will be aborted.

Here is my plan.

1. Call the bird late at night like around 3 AM or 4 AM, do not tell the bird your room number. Let them handle hotel reception on their own. In most star hotels, this is not a problem at all. If the reception becomes a problem, then tell the bird to leave and pay her some amount through UPI. Mission Failed in that case.

2. Wait for that person to show up in the common area of the floor where your room is.

3. Once you see the bird and verify it is the same as the SP has shown in Whatsapp, then tell the bird the room number. And sneak her in.

4. Finish your stuff in couple of hours.

5. Come out of the room and see if the field is clear. If it's clear, let the bird leave on her own.

6. Mission successful.

The reason I will be calling them at late night is to ensure other colleagues have slept and they won't come looking for me late at night. They have no reason to, but just in case some guy gets drunk and comes knocking at my door at night it is better to time the operation at late night.

The other alternative is to book another hotel. This is the best, but it comes with a Price of at least 5 k if not more. The previous option is free! I would any day choose the second option but is tempted to try the first. Just want to ensure I am not being a total fool or outright stupid or if I am not missing anything crucial here.

If anyone has advice, that is much appreciated.
