A new Thai spa has come up in south Pune in last month. They have two branches in western suburbs of Mumbai. Out of curiosity, as it is close to my place, I decided to venture into it during Diwali. Intro offer is 1.2 k for any massage which is 50% discount on the menu. No NB coupon yet also the SPA is not so popular yet I guess.

Young Indian receptionist with cute red lipstick & make up sitting like a doll, suggested me for Balinese massage (which is a combo of Thai (stretching) + aroma oil per her). So I agreed as I was looking for maximum skin contact and touching with the therapist. As the name suggests, this SPA has Thai therapists. A Thai lady tall, fair, however in her late 30's and full Thai uniform (not a looker, which was a big turn off) received me. After feet wash (Thais have soft hands irrespective of looks), she took me to room on 1st floor. I was pleasantly surprised to see big comfortable mattress instead of massage table. The massage turned out to be so so (below average). The therapist was sitting on me and touching here & there which I enjoyed. However, she is heavy and was putting her weight on me while sitting on me which was not bearable sometimes. Also she gave a complete dry massage and pressure was more than usual. She could not understand English and corrective actions couldn't be taken and I couldn't even ask for extras forget about negotiating. With not satisfied with this experience, I decided to visit again after 2 days and try another therapist. (Needed female hand and touch over me again. This time, made sure I get a different therapist (this time short, fair, younger than the previous one, in uniform, though not a looker). Decided for Balinese massage again. This massage was much better. She gave some bum massage, touched johny from all sides, she almost rubbed herself over me while doing back massage (though she was in uniform). I asked for extras and she offer HJ for 1 K, B2B for 3 K. She agreed for B2B for 2 K I guess. However, she is very weak in English and hence we could not discuss properly I guess & negotiate. So I opted out of extras to avoid confusion as VFM is not assured due to language issues. May be I will try next time.

The receptionist was convincing me for membership with no validity. However, I think the difference between walk in (1.2 K) and membership (1 K) is only Rs 200 which is not worth it.

I understand therapist #2 is in India for the first time.

Will try therapist #3 next time or will repeat therapist # 2.

Being a new Thai spa and new therapists, I thought it would be easier to score in this spa, and cheaper too. However, could not achieve both yet. Now let's see if the quality of service is better. Hoping so!
