Would appreciate an update on action at Habamos and Venetto. I'm not sure what's the real truth. Are they not chica friendly anymore?

habanos remains a primary staging area for the professionals, I think venetto isnt that friendly anymore

I'm going back to PTY in a couple of weeks. I last stayed at the Coral Suites, near Venneto, but I'm looking for a place in the same area that's a bit more luxurious, up to around $150. Since I'll be with my Colombiana it doesn't need to be "girl-friendly." Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you're looking for luxury in that area at that price, the Veneto would be a good choice -- my number one pick at that price. You might be able to get a room at the Marriott at a little over $150 if you book ahead. I've never stayed at the Crowne Plaza or El Panama, but those are two other possibilities. If you're immune to street noise or can get a high floor, there's the Riande Continental, although I think the Veneto is nicer and a better buy, unless you can get a good deal on a suite at the Riande. The Bristol is the most luxurious in that area -- the suites come with butlers -- but it costs more than $150.

If you belong to the AAA try using that rate at the Veneto.

When I stayed there in Nov the rate was $89 plus tax per night

Howman. I enjoyed your report on PC, however, you also mentioned going to Boca but you did not mention anything about that part of your trip. Just wondering how that went as I journeyed there several years ago without much luck. The first or second night I was in Boca, a young guy came up to me at the Wreck Bar (or called something like that) and wanted to know if I was interested in a woman. Naturally, given the prospects in the bar, I said yes and he brought a young Columbian woman over who ultimately came to my hotel for $40. I think she was literally just off the boat and probably moved on to PC after that as I only saw her that one time.

However, that was the extent of my action in Boca. It was really quite disappointing overall. What was your updated experience?

Additionally, when I was in PC I went with an American woman to a jazz club/disco about 10 minute taxi from the Veneto. I was sorry to be with this woman as the club was jumping with really hot chicas. However, I never found out the club's name. All I remember, was that it was on the ground level below a much larger disco and was kind of tiny inside. Anyone have any idea about the name of this place?

The other guy who works there, the Forrest Whitaker look-alike, was cool too. Went out of his way to say hi and ask if I needed a drink whenever I came in.

i have been to pty twice in the past year. thanks to you fellow mongers, i gathered enough info to be in the know. back in july had me a serving of a colombiana that truly looked better in the darkness of the venetto. nonetheless she was a lot of fun. $ got me a few pops and a couple of hours. the next night went to the venetto, elite, etc. hit them all and even some that i haven't seen mentioned here. all i recall was that i saw it on the way to gt and stopped out of curiosity. the alcohol content in my blood was too high for me to have specific recollections of landmarks or names. ended up snatching up quite a succulent colombian from la bodeguita. $120 is as low as i got her to come down, well invested though.

the main point to this post is to bring to light that the marriott is no longer chica friendly. this time around i had me a non pro that was ready to roll, a panameña that actually was decent, a solid 7. everythng almost came crashing down when i walked through the doors of the marriott and security greeted us. he asked if she was registered and i told him "not yet". he politely told me if she wasn't registered at check in that he couldn't allow her in. bottomline, chick got offended, she was being treated like a puta in her mind. she went from horny to offended in. 3 seconds and was clearly upset. we took care of business elsewhere, luckily for me it didn't take much to get her back in the mood. the next day, spoke with a manager and she says that they implemented the "no chica" policy about a month ago. i'd like to know how someone is getting $150 rates at the marriott. the cheapest i have gotten was $170 and that was with a government discount.

the old bodeguita was moved, not closed down because they are going to construct a new building there on "uruguay". the new bodeguita, same bartenders, etc. seems to be a larger environment. i didn't actually go in to the old bodeguita but i did peek in the door and it looked way overcrowded and small. i did go in this new one and there was plenty of room.

That's too bad if the Marriott is no longer chica friendly. With Habanos right across the street it was a perfect location. I guess you could try to bring a girl in through the casino and enter on the hotel's second level as this gets you around the front desk and into the elevators. When I was there no one was ever checking this route.

I was there mid December and some organization was having their Xmas party there. Lot's of suits, wives and kids all milling around the lobby. Made for a bit of a "walk of shame" as I passed though with my girl for the evening. Cute 22 y/o Venezuelan with some Lebanese blood in her as well. Nice mix! (Habanos', $150.00, BBBJ, 2 pops, full GFE)

I remember seeing a couple of jazz clubs in Casco Viejo, and one evening went out with a chica I'd sessioned with a couple nights earlier. We went to a restaurant called S'cena --- located right across the street from the old Union club --- and the lower floor of that place was a jazz club that was kickin' out some great tunes as we sat on the balcony above feasting like kings. The jazz club had a different name, but don't recall what it was....sounds like it could be the place you're looking for.

It was not Casco Viejo for certain. I had been there earlier in my trip and the club was near some more centrally located streets in PC.

Although sad, the truth is that the word from the panamanians is that the colombanas try to drain more than sperm from ya. I didn't experience that with the 2 I had but was warned by business associates which are linked to law enforcement so they are pretty much in the know.

A correction to my previous post, I stated in the venetto and it was habanos where I snatched up the so so chic.

Was downtown last night and decided to have a drink at the Venato and check things out. Well, it was hopping last night (Sunday @ around midnight) and was just like old times. Lots of chicas all over the place and some very nice ones. I'm not needing to monger here as I have a couple of local non pro beauties taking care of my needs so nothing to report except that at least on some nights, the Venato is in fine form. YMMV, depending on what night and/or time though.

I think the Mariott is still chica friendly. Their policy is all chicas MUST be registered, that is provide a form of ID that is photocopied and kept by the desk. This makes for some discomfort as you have to wait at the desk with the chica while this is being done. If there is a family type function happening at the same time then it can be tricky as everyone will know whats up once the chica is being registered and they have to not offend the other guests. Dont try to get past without registering your chica because it wont happen. The security guys are used to it and actually make it easy after all you are a paying guest and Most of Mariott guests will at some time bring a chica back.
