I am visiting SP and have been to many of the haunts (Redway, Vani's) but realize that I am not getting the most out of the experience. I'd love to meet up with any fellow mongers anytime tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday afternoon to see the "sights". ABG, you seem to know everything. Let me know if you're around and mongering. If so, I'd love to meet up.

The place is in what feels like the lobby of a high-rise hotel. The space is actually pretty big and nice. Large bar area, tables, band playing, upstairs seating. Typical pay on arrival, get a consumption card, access control, etc. But not nearly as pretentious feeling as Scandalo. I believe it was R$200 entrada that goes to consumption. Jet black long hair, long skinny legs, big fake boobies. Was entering (at 2am!). I was really surprised. And trust me, Cartman has pretty jaded standards by now.
I had an early meeting and couldn't execute a transaction. I think the rate is in the R$500-R$600 space. There apparently is no house fee, just pay the girl (it's all take out).
Anyway, it's apparently open on Saturdays too. Definitely on my list for a return visit when I have time to experiment.

Hello, good people! One question (from somebody new to S. P, but not to "the scene" in general).
IF you had a few days (3. 5) to spend in one city / town / etc that is relatively near to and / or easily accessible from SP, which one would it be?
Would it best to fly to Rio (where I have been and is prob too crazy for me right now) , or to Porto Alegre or Florianopolis (where I have never been)? Or to somewhere else in Brazil (like Fortaleza, which I know and love, but is so far from SP)?
But PLEASE NOTE: I ask this question specifically with regard to the mongering scene (all things considered. Pluses and minuses)

But if you are intested in real blondes try POA, Casa the Carmen could be a good alternative.

It's not far from São Paulo: about 45 minutes in normal conditions (more than 6 hours during holydays because there is only one road. The Anchieta. That leads to São Paulo's seaport). There's a good selection of garotas and different types of venues able to satisfy different tastes.
I didn't hobby that much in Porto Alegere (only twice) because I was there for professional reasons (writing academic papers). I'll be in Florianopolis in September for an International Conference. I don't have yet the intention of hitting the hobby scene but rather tI'd like to taste the non-pro scene (as I did in POA).
I hate Rio because there are to much gringos, especially yankees.

Campinas looks more obvious for the budget end particularly, and there are regular buses there. Santos has a beach of sorts (I haven't been, but it sounds very touristy) ; and yet Santos does not even have its own thread on ISG so the mongering might be a case of starting from scratch might it not? I find the sheer size of the area a bit offputting if I was going there for a short stay, so I would also appreciate any further light SG can shed on the area.
My own thought is that merely getting to GRU airport in SP can take several hours which, out of a short stay, is quite a lot. But familiarity saves much time. RJ is an easy flight and if you know the city it has advantages. SG expresses a personal opinion. And it is true that there are many more visible gringos in RJ. But if you know RJ well you also know how to avoid them.
Porto Alegre is nice and relaxed, almost provincial compared to SP, but much further than Campinas or Santos. Not a long flight but a flight rather than just grabbing a bus. Personally, if I were taking a few days out and wanted a contrast I'd possible head for Belo which costs about the same and I personally find has more to offer than Porto Alegre.

To be honest with you, I have never hobbyied in Campinas. It's a town that I visit for academic matters (because of it's renowned university).
The region of Santos (São Paulo litoral) doesn't have it's own thread on ISG; I concede that. However Santos / São Vicente does have a thread on GP Guia. A lot of girls are available and different venues exist. I like Santos. São Vicente and especially Guarujá for the beaches and the night life (especially in Guarujá).
On the week-ends you may find the same GDP that are working free lance in São Paulo on the beaches of Guarujá or Santos (some of them even have a condo there). On the other hand, I also have good friends on the Gp Guia that are from Santos. This is why I like to go there now and then.
I don't know yet Belo Horizonte but it is a little bit further than going to Santos (which, as I said, take 45 minutes from Sampa. Where there is no gridlock).
My escapes were limited in POA because I ha ve a regular girl freind there and she is a non-pro.
In my former post I forgot to mention that it is quite easy to take a bus from São Paulo to Santos.
When you are on the blue line exit at Jabaquara (it's the terminus). You'll find there the jabaquara bus station and several busses go to Santos (or the North Litoral).
It's inexpensive and there are busses almost at each hours of the day.

When you'll arrive at Santos (via the Anchieta) the first stop is the Terminal Rodoviario. You can wait for the next stop which is located near the beaches.
