I will likely add-on a visit to Nairobi in November or December. Probably 2 weeks or so if I can coordinate it with my work.

2 questions: Is Christmas time decent or dead (week before to week after)?

More importantly: I enjoy a good cigar with my drink (s). Can I smoke a cigar in the local bars or will I be asked to leave?

But there is still a lot of action around.

You have some high class restaurants with a garden sitting, like Tamarind or Tamambo Karen Blixen-- but that is stiff british style for a price to pay.

In NBO Nov 6-9 and then MOM 9-13. Any fellow mongers around then for meet you and a few drinks. I'm staying at After 40 Hotel Westlands in NBO and not sure re MO but will probably stay with Cowrie Shell in Bamburi.
