19h 50 mn many gunshots along Bamburi beach road. Police doesn't allow journalist for any information.
One car KBK 145 F black in colour have many impact of gunshots. Inside car four to five persons death.
From a friend of mine living in Mombasa.
Very dangerous country. All my neighbors eventually left to they home country after they got married. It's not a place to a white guy unless you have a specific goal for limited time. Extra security will cost mach more money.
But even in countries such as Philippines, Peru etc its super dangerous but foreigners do lived there. But after a year or so when I realize that sex is not everything and its impossible to get any sort of understanding with the locals and especially girls I left.
Africa is for African but if you come to a vacation with a lot of money being protected in a good hotel taking taxi etc you should be fine. Coming to cheap hotels, taking Matatus all the time and hang around with pros. You will be hit hard its just a matter of time. Feeling safe has nothing to do with reality, its an emotion. Most people feel safe seconds before the robbed hit.
Getting laid cheap? Yes. Everything else no!
Very dangerous country.
Ok it's dangerous. But they say it was al Shabab. :

So I think it's sometimes dangerous, but if you are not a Terrorist or near a Terrorist, then it should be OK.

But if you are not a Terrorist or near a Terrorist, then it should be OK.
Dangerous mainly for crime, accidents etc.
If you are a typical tourist / Monger you know nothing about whats really going on.

I live more than 15 years 25% Europe. 50% Kenya 25% USA.
But your reactions are that Kenya is unsafe I can tell you I have in Europe already 6 robberies in div Cities in the USA 2 robberies and in Kenya 0 robberies.
In my experience is Paris or Miami more dangerous than Kenya.
Look to the positive side and enjoy yourself and give our fellow real information like Jiggydus or Willyboy.
Look to the positive side and enjoy yourself and give our fellow real information like Jiggydus or Willyboy.
For budget monger you may book a secure place such as Uziel (Mtwapa100$ non-air con 150$ aircon per week) , Or any-other place. Go to Nakumat caffe or get a drink at pirate beach while actively attack everything that moves around you.
Nighttime, go to Casaurina or nearby club (to avoid driving at night). Need a break? Go to Wattamu or lamu for a few days. Come back to Mtwapa and try Eaglenest roof bar for drink / eat and wait for the ladies, they will come.
We already understood that cost is a relative term as one can pay twice for both hotel room or girl then others based on your skills, experience, age appearance etc. No forum is needed for finding girls but Security awareness is a key for enjoyment in Mombasa. Want to underestimate my advice? Be my guest.

Have not been to Kenya yet but to Ghana a few times and several trips to my past beloved PI. I've never been robbed. However I've rode with motorcycle cabbies a few times and literally feared for my life each time. I prefer to walk a few clicks or pay a bit more for a real taxi compared to ending up with a serious head injury or an open fracture and undergo emergent surgery in an undeveloped land. Stay away from the suicycles. Better have the girl take a bike to you and then cover the cheap fare.
Don't know about Europe, but the US is frought with thugs and complacency with violent crime. America is a hyperagressive, nastier society permeated with serious drug and alcohol problems. I carry my 45 ACP everywhere here at home (legal, permit), unless I'm entering a gun restricted area such as federal Govt facility or school. I've never had to use it and that speaks much more to the import of situational awareness. A small amount of paranoia will always serve you well and based on FRs from some of the elders here I'm far more inclined to accept NGong's perspective.

And why is Paris and Miami dangerous? Maybe they escaped from.

Some people just refuse to see the good in other people.
Am in NBO now and regret the decision to also go to LOS. There is just so many women here its crazy. Of course the beach is easier than MBO, but I also prefer the challenge.
Of non-pros. Not in the mood all the time for hard core.

By carefull
After my visit last week. I want every visitor alert. It's getting dangerous and dangerous to perform your hobby. Everyone is ready to falsely accuse you for offenses not committed, the solid white residents do this for free purchase price of $ 1,000. Even participated in these practices. The road check near Mtwpa is hard to drive past without payment. There may be a difference in height of headlights of your taxi established. Whether more or less tire wear, left and right. I do not think I Kenya still visit. This become really dangerous. There were almost no tourists. It was not raining. Kenya is his grave itself to making. Kahama hotel, high price, poor breakfast. Eating in a restaurant was not eating. Infernal music noise until after 2pm. (google translation)

You confirm everything I have said.
Its more the two years that I am shifted to Thailand etc. Good hotels, good food, no court or scams and nobody break to my hotel room.
The situation in Kenya is over. They don't want any white tourists anymore, so we are not coming as you saw the lack of tourists yourself. Security and high hotels price is a serious issue to any monger or tourist.

Kenya The police play very dirty role in these matters. Steal goods after westland problem. Even after the fire at the airport.
