The only thing set is the bar fine or room fee. The amount you give the girl is negotiable. I have always given chicks on Soi 6 700 for short time and 1000 for long time, and I have reported doing such. Not my fault people here walk in and take the first price they are given.

Just like last night when me and my brother walked into a tailor shop and asked how much to make a shirt. He said 1000 baht. I said come on man you know that is too much. Then he said 800 baht. Now when I go to him and tell him I want 5 shirts etcetera, I will end up paying 700 baht for each shirt. But of course $9.14 means more to the tailor than it does to me right? Maybe, maybe not.

But the way things work around here is through negotiation. It is just that most people don't understand that and take the first price they are given. So who is really being taken advantage of? The bar girls that gets "out-negotiated" or the punter that does not know to negotiate? No chick is going to go for less than she is going to go for and no tailor will sell a shirt for less than he is going to sell it for.

P.S. It might stand to reason that the guy that did it all the time would have less money. The guy that only did it every blue moon maybe could afford to splurge. If I go into the club once a year then maybe I will get $150 bottle service. If I go into the club every other day then you think I am going to do that?

How long have you been paying 700? Has not Thailand experienced cost of living increases in that time? Perhaps 800 (+$3) or 900 (+$6) is more appropriate and you still didn't take the first offer. Then since Thai girls are like a box of chocolates you never know what you will get top her up to her asking price or more after the fact with a tip depending on the experience.

I may negotiate price, but never negotiate service. And I never have a problem with service. As I explained the other day, all I told the chick on Soi 6 was let's go to the room. You are paying more for alcohol and cigarettes because the government went up on the taxes? If there has been a cost of living increase then nobody has told my landlord about it (and that is where it counts). I have been paying the same 4500 baht per month for almost the last 9 years. Let's see if anything changes in February when I sign a new contract.

I have also been paying the same 900 baht plus 60 baht tolls to get from the airport to Pattaya for as long as I can remember. So the taxi driver is not seeing it either. But I think the place that I eat breakfast has gone from 79 baht to 84 baht for the American breakfast: eggs, bacon, toast, juice, coffee or tea. So if we take that 5 baht difference and factor it into the 700 baht for a Soi 6 girl, then maybe she should be getting 40 baht more. 740 baht, which she did actually get if you add in the lady drink that I bought her!

Simple question to you: How many years have you been living in Bangkok? How many days spent in Pattaya? I'm going to guess the percentage of time spent in Pattaya is around half of a half of a half of a percent. And the opposite is true for Mr E who's spent more time in Pattaya than Bangkok. So its pretty much pointless to keep up this argument unless you move down to Pattaya and Mr E moves up to Bangkok.

When you pay 700 baht to the girl on Soi 6, do you get the full hour or is it once you come, time is over?
