Sosua Reports

I wanted to share an interesting phonomenon I have discovered in Germany. There are a large number of Dominican women working in the brothels there.

I travel to Germany alot and always visit the brothels (not FKK's but rather houses where each girl has a room). These brothels are at least 80% Dominicanas. Most of them live in Spain but ocassionally they will live in Germany. They never stay in one brothel but rather travel around Germany from one brothel to the next and then go back to where there home is which is, most of the time, Barcelona or Madrid. Up until my last visit, these women are not hardened pros. They tend to really open up to you when you speak Spanish to them and talk about SD, Sosua etc. Then once they start talking about their kids they really start to feel comfortable with you. The service has been top notch compared to anything I have ever received in the DR. German men, who are the majority of their clients, are known for not being kind to these women. Not abusive in that sense but they really look at them as w**ores. This is what I have been told by the ladies over and over again. They are never clock watchers and will give you an hour for 50 Euros (even though it is supposed to be 15 minutes for 50 Euros). I have even had one of them invite me back to the brothel and had me eat lunch in her room with her.

The last Dominicana I met was the rare exception. She was a hardened pro though she was very cute. But then she told me she was from Santiago and I figured she had probably worked in the past in Sosua given its proximity to Santiago. She was a clock watcher and was was a wham bam and get out.

This was the first time I had experienced this with any of the Dominicanas here.

I have attached a photo of her. She was not a bad person. Just reminded me a little of the Sosua women I have encountered in the past. Hello Gentlemen,

I would like to thank you all for your insight and wisdom on this board. My cousin and I lived out stay in Sosua except for the final night. I didn't fully understand how corrupt the people could be until the final evening.

The night we before our departure my cousin and I went out and ended up in the casino after Clasico closed. We were both approached by Chicas. I saw one chica earlier that caught my eye that I wanted. My cousin told me to leave her alone because to him she looked like "garbage". What he really meant was that she had no ass and was flat chested (whatever). I didn't heed his warning.

He took his chica to the room and I on the other hand went to grab a quick bite from the food cart. After downing the meal my chica and I left for the room. When I get to my hotel the chica goes straight to the seguridad and they speak briefly. Then I go into the office to check her in. The office manager tell me something strange. He says that she cannot stay the evening. That was never in my plan so I said ok.

Earlier we agreed upon a set price of 1500 only after I walked away from her initial request of 3000 pesos. As we make our way into the room my cousin stops in mid act along with his Chica. My cousins chica looks uneasy. So once my date goes in the bathroom my cousin chica proceeds to tell me to hid all my belongs and stuff her purse in our safe. I chuckled a bit and complied. My chica comes out and we proceed to CBJ but she wouldn't lick the jewels. During our mesh session she complained about hurting (only when she felt an orgasm coming).

After the mesh I gave her the agreed upon amount. She then flips and says it was 2500 pesos. We argue and she walked away with 2 k. As I walked her to the gate she slips the guard some money. Management had respected you in allowing obviously a troubled girl to accompany you. You never thought to question them why she couldn't stay all night. No you were thinking with your dick. We all do sometimes when we have zeroed in on our kills. She obviously was out of normal grace with that hotel and security. Security didn't convince you to give in to her payment. You didn't go to them complaining about her. When chicas are not in good grace they often tip security because he's the first line of defense in getting back in good grace. You got upset when you saw what she did with the money you gave her freely. I know sometimes - well a lot of times we don't want any problems over 12 bucks. However you must understand that when a chica flips the price on you she is trying you. Somewhere in her understanding of the business she in she thought you were weak and can be played. Since you gave in she was correct and you only reinforced her behavior. She made you pay for the tip for the security guard. What do you think he is going to do the next time he sees her. Now had you a problem with her and complain to him and he did nothing to help correct the problem I can understand your hostilities. Good thing she didn't steal anything and the learning experience only cost you five hundred pesos. We all coulda, shoulda, woulda.

Hotels don't all allow putas to come and go to your room unescorted, so just kicking her outside your room and locking the door, is generally not an option. It's also not polite to the other hotel guests, if she starts screaming and banging on the door. (Vets have heard that before). LOL

A couple things. Once they flip, you have to swallow your ego and man up that YOU have made an error in judgement. Once you can deal with that blow to your ego, LOL, the idea is to solve the problem in the most beneficial way for you. You are on vacation, so what is a few bucks to make the problem go away?

The alternative, confrontation, possible escalation to soap opera drama, involving security, hotel management and even the cops, in the middle of the night, over a couple dollars is not recommended, especially if alcohol (or even drugs) is involved, but it's your choice. If you care if some dysfunctional puta thinks you are "weak", you have a problem with ego, insecurity, self esteem, whatever. I would be pissed only if the sex session was not worth it!

I'd rather a puta hi five me on the street after leaching $10 the night before, than having her and her friends looking for my ass.

What works for me.

I come from Europe. Hotels, restaurants and bars, were originally public houses hosted by families that cared for the enjoyment and safety of their guests.

I still cultivate that concept and relationship, by spending my money in the same bars, hotels, and restaurants (its a small town) developing a familiar and familia relationship. Once they know you are not an asshole, they'll take your side in any little problem you might have. They'll throw a trouble maker out. If they throw YOU out, you know who the asshole is. LOL.

Remember, the guys that have the most trouble in Sosua are those that believe the locals are all skanks, thieves and criminals, and paint them all with the same brush. Sosua is definitely NOT for them!

I think this might help to understand why a lot of new hotel and real estate construction is taking place in Sosua and why you see some old resorts built in the past abandoned. The new guys have gotten big tax breaks and have a lot of influence:

After the 70's, the tourism sector with its breakthrough (in 1980 the first hotel in the country Playa Dorada opens), promoted to major economic lines as industries, animal husbandry and agriculture were head seduced by the generous bonanzas of this.

Check the second half of the 90's, "South Florida" as they used to call Puerto Plata, entered an economic depression when other countries in the region were lifting flight in tourism, coinciding with the crisis of basic services in the city among which we can cite the lack of electricity (darkness reigned throughout the city), the rise in crime, and the many problems generating tourism groups such as transport (taxis) the National police and hustlers, prostitutes and Sanky entindase Pankis, and fraud linked to deterioration of hoteliers.

While it is true that all this was enough to make decayed the first tourist center in the country as it was then, "La Tacita de Plata", no less certain that the death blow came on 9th of October 2001, when Law 158-01 on tourist incentive, which came with the aim of promoting tourism development in the poles of low growth and new poles in provinces and localities of great potential was adopted.

To accomplish those purposes, that Act raised the tax exemption for all matters relating to the construction and renovation of tourism infrastructure, however, completely exclude Puerto Plata of these benefits.

This is summarized in that all that was built in the tourist order in Puerto Plata had the obligation to pay taxes instead, while the builders, for example in Bavaro and Punta Cana, were excluded from any payment; is hence the debacle of tourism and the great economic crisis has certain date.

It only reinforces them to do it to the next guy.
