Had couple of hours in hand, so thought of checking out a spa in KP. I'm not a spa person, so wanted to get a feel on what's on offer. Just shortlisted sharir yoga, spoke to the receptionist and booked 90 minutes for 2000. She asked for my choice. Local, Thai or NE. Requested NE presuming they may offer more.

From the start it was clear that something extra will be offered, and my masseuse Happy did a reasonable massage including a quick bum massage. After initial chitchat enquired extras, she responded saying open to HJ with TA is what she can do and said its between 2 and 2.5 k. I asked for 750, which she refused. Could have bargained, but was not keen on jacking up the price. Hence left after massage.

Will I repeat. If I get a different one at a reasonable price.

Quality of massage. Decent. But she completed in an hour though it's for 90 minutes.

If I get a better reference in Pune may try next time.

Safe mongering.[/QUOTE]One small advice, in your first visit to any spa, never take a 90 Minutes, its basically like donating 30 minutes money to the spa guy. Only take 90 minute if you are sure of action and keep that 30 minutes for extra fun.

The basic tactic used by them is they either slow down the pace of massage and kill the time or like in your case finish early.

Seems like you are new to this field, going forward atleast for upcoming few visits use NB coupon or other voucher for any spa visit, 85% of spa are there in these places. Try not to visit a place which has the Powder and cream massage in there menu. It will end up in your money getting powdered or creamed. If you like to still visit them never pay them more than 1000, that is there worth.

Once you visit 4-5 spa, shortlist 2 from that and book them directly, as with coupon they normally don't tend to give very good service. Hope this helps.
