On the other hand, I must say I'm quite disappointed about Angelwitch. I thought it was a mighty bar with hot coreography. These chicks at Angelwitch can barely dance and I probably did a much better job dancing in clubs a few years ago. I'm no pro, but I expected a bit more.

On the other hand, Spankys and Rainbow 4 in the video look exactly as I imagined them. .

Anyway, most of people will see what is closer to them. Although, I think Cowboy would be a more pleasant experience.

The biggest giveaway that is probably 9 to 10 pm or thereabouts is the general absence of LB's (only one very obvious) near Nana parking lot, and none are bunching near the Nana Plaza exit with few or none seen prancing around in front of adjoining clubs on the Nana Plaza side, which generally starts toward 10 to 11 pm. Also not too many regular FL's directly in front of the Nana Hotel sign, although that can vary at times also. As for Go Go favorites I try to not have any, (or not show it in a club) otherwise they can get all possessive when you visit. In regard to dancing, except for Coyotes (who often dance the energetic G club dance style) the standard "dance" in Go Go's is often simply one step forward and then one step back or some variation, very minimal movement. In fact in Baccarra normally they cannot even do that (its usually just a wiggle) as they are far more tightly spaced than for example Rainbow 4 where each girl usually has a pole to hold

In Soi Cowboy, whichever club I visit, I always end up in Suzie Wong and find my friend for the night there. Why? I think they have a nice line-up (but that is a matter of taste) ; their shows are well done; the music is not too loud; the atmosphere is relaxed and not pushy.

So the issue could be somewhat moot for many visitors.

In regards to Nana being "too chaotic", the biggest single problem with Nana is the LB issue, but most learn to block it all out very quickly making it a non issue. The video guy of course for whatever reason seemed to revel in it. Note in BILLboard he had the extremely cute Hot Tub Girl (on break) going all ga ga and flirty about the fact that he was only 29 years old, yet he wasn't particularly responsive.

While Soi Cowboy has some excellent clubs including Baccarra and others, many of the clubs have touts outside posing as dancers who in fact not only do not dance, but I don't think ever go in the club. In fact I am not even sure they are 18 years of age.

Soi 4 in addition to the Plaza also has a large number of (non Go Go) Bars with a variety of girls and they are open 15 plus hours per day. I don't see that as much in the Soi Cowboy area, nor do I see comparable happy hour pricing.

And there is no Nana Parking lot equivalent near Soi Cowboy, nor is there anything like the Soi 7 Beergarden nearby

Also I don't see many bargain price hotels around Soi Cowboy.

I would guess for the typical "tourist" arriving in town for a week or two, he still has a choice on any given night (from all sources combined) of at least 10, 000 different FS girls, but the protests have definitely complicated one's ability to move to and from the various venues and locales. So sometimes more focused approaches need to be considered..

Seems like they use touts like a spider web. Once the butterflies (tourists / foreigners) are caught (inside the club) , the spider (mamasan & bouncers) have a pretty easy time.

You should be allright and actually it is pretty cheap albeit a bit raunchy.

Also no problem with star of light and kangaroo as you can read here in the forum.

For a downstairs visit, no "guide" needed. If you want to see Patpong shows (and those that have never been have CERTAINLY heard of them, will ask you if you've seen, and, if not, then say you missed out, even if they've never been) , then an upstairs visit would be required, with a "guide" recommended, so you don't have to be concerned about a "name" group or not. More along the lines of a "been there, done that" thing. I did it once, 20 years ago, and though I have been back to Patpong, haven't seen a show since. I've seen some nice looking ladies in Patpong, but it was never a favorite haunt, more of a place to take friends visiting as they'd all heard of it. Earlier, I preferred Nana; later on, Cowboy. It's just something some MIGHT want to see just to check off that item on the to-do list.

The exception is the Star of Light. That IS worth a trip in and of itself.

This can be easily confirmed once you visit Soi Cowboy.

The issue is certainly relevant to a discussion of the merits of Soi Cowboy vs Nana. For example when you see various hotties hanging outside of Rainbow 4 in Nana Plaza, THOSE girls are available and most in fact anxious to be barfined, and unless a guy's a drunk or a slob, 99% of the time he will be able to take them ST to his hotel if its nearby or a short term room if not.

As I said in regard to many Soi Cowboy girls hanging outside, many of these girls are not even "Coyotes" which by definition are girls that DANCE but don't normally (with some exceptions) barfine. In fairness to certain owners. some of the clubs in their sign do say "Coyote" club, so that's at least minimal fair notice

Now that said, there are plenty of hot girls in Soi Cowboy and Nana and all over, but its best to have a strategy to find the hot ones you like.

Some posters in various forums complain one needs a "game" now in Thailand and complain about alleged "ageism" and other issues. I guess they want it like the Phils or parts of DR where girls in destitute poverty living in a 3rd world hellhole just fall all over them. Yes, its a bit different in Bangkok which is now a world class city with many things to do other than to screw all day, but the tradeoff of being in such a great locale and city is yes hot women have more discretion and choices now and with P4P hotties the money they are earning often IS just shopping or fun money, but that said: the bottom line is P4P hotties are still everywhere and they are available for those that want them..

I'm sure age comes to play too if you're not Jap. Also, I have south Asian origins which is another blow, but worse if I was black (kinda funny since Soi Cowboy's first bar was owned by a black American) , but hey most of these working girls have never graduated from college, why would they care about the history of the place they work in?

At the same time, I've read that Japs get charged more in Go Go's since they can afford it. The famous davetheravebangkok 4 rule or 2-3-4 rule or 3 rule. 4-inch dick. 4-minute sex. 4,000baht.

I don't necessarily see the attention they get as being super positive either. Although, they do get their way on high-end soapies with no foreigner surcharge or even in tourist places like the grand palace and siam ocean world.

On the other hand, I must also accept and be happy that some of these places that cater exclusively to Japs, really are meant for them and not me. I mean, their idea of fun in a karaoke is totally different to my concept of 'fun'. Also, these Jap-only hotties may be eye candy, but they probably wouldn't be able to handle more than 4-minutes and bigger than 4-inches. I can't stand hot women who can't "give it all to me" (quoting "I was made for loving you" by Kiss).

Believe me, I've tried to enjoy sex with a hot (9 or 10) europeans who couldn't please me and hated it all the way. Thus, it's really not that much of a loss to foreigners.

The bottom line is (and I have learned this from countless mistakes and bitter tears shed in other areas of my life, not just mongering)

Do your homework and you'll be rewarded. If you plan ahead of time and get informed on scams, discrimination and all the subtle and not-so subtle things you will be prepared (most of the time) and know what to expect. There's no excuse for people being upset afterwards and saying they weren't warned of such things beforehand. The info is all there. All you have to do is read (perhaps preceded by some digging / researching).

Once you know the places or things to avoid, you'll also know which ones are right to the individual or 'you' and many more solutions will inevitably become open.

For instance, I'll go to go go bars to enjoy seeing hot women dancing and some shows I want to see (Angelwitch and Spankys). However, I know my chances of barfining a super hot Baccara / Rainbow 4 girl are 1/1000 or less. Fine by me, I already know places where I can find better looking women in MP's who will fuck me for the green, regardless. Adjusting is the key and as I once told Paul via PM, I firmly believe it should always be a fair business transaction. However, Thai girls today earn too much money today not to discriminate based on age and race. No problem, there is still much supply elsewhere where they will take you. .

P4P is going to keep growing. I highly doubt it'll decrease. One thing that does make me a little mad in Asia is the excessive tipping. It causes too much inflation and girls expectation increases. I'll make sure I keep things very controlled.
