I bought 2 tailored suits on my first trip to pattaya. Paid 18k IIRC. One was an Armani cut and the other was Boss. They both looked like sh1t. I didn't even bring them home. Just gave it to a gogo girl to give to her Thai boyfriend. Funny story at first she said she had no thai boyfriend but when I offered 2 suits for her boyfriend she came clean and admitted she had a boyfriend.
Whenever someone visits me and asks me about suits I tell them not to do it. Don't get sucked in buying these low quality Thai suits. If you want Armani buy a real Armani!

I lost the deposit, but at least it was better than paying the full amount and then throwing the suit in the bin.
Even the 18,600 is too cheap for two good quality suits. I think sometimes you must pay a little more for quality as those suits will probably wear out sooner than later. Cheap fabric and cheap women can be one in the same LOL.
Just kidding about the women as I know you have a good lay of the land in Patts but if it's not too late, tell your brother to find a better tailor with better quality fabric or he will waste all that money. 17,000 is 17 soi 6 girls for most of us and 24 or you.
LOL. I have been using this tailor for at least 5 years so I know his quality. My dad and another brother even have their pictures on the wall. I send him so many people that I can't remember the last time I have had to pay him to make an item here or there for me.

My second time in Thailand I had shirts and pants made by the guy in the bottom of the mall across from Nana. They delivered it to the hotel at night a couple of hours before I was leaving. The shirts looked like some old Elvis bullshit so I just left them at the hotel reception. A pair of the khaki pants split in the crotch while I was on the flight home. I warn people that you can't just go to anyone having stuff made. I learned that the hard way.

Come on Mr. E. Me thinks there a something a funk LOL.
Seriously, if he is that good, please PM me and I will buy some stuff. I use Raja's Fashions in BKK now but I'm always open if there's a better guy.

They are indeed very good. I got a couple of shirts made few years ago for 1500 baht each. The other place is Tailor on Ten on Soi 8, after the Citadines. Again pretty pricey, but I favour Rajawongse.
Never tried a tailor in Pattaya.

I read it as he sent this tailor so many customers in the past that whenever he needs an item here or there the tailor doesn't charge him due to his appreciation for the recommendations?
I'm just glad since I retired and sold everything back home that I don't own one suit, tie, or even a dress shoe. It is every day here in Thailand nothing but shorts!

Or socks, for that matter.

It was a joke that insinuated that if he sent this tailor so many customers, why would he not give Mr. E's brother, his own flesh and blood, the best deal. Anyways, it was not a serious comment.

The only time I wore any shoe other then sandals was if I were going to be on a motor bike.
The only time I wore any shoe other then sandals was if I were going to be on a motor bike.
Good choice. At the cost of sounding paternal, wear the most you can when on a bike. Yesterday as I arrived I saw a young fat foreigner with a large bruise on a thigh, he still did't got the lesson, and looked pathetic with both feet on ground to move on 1 m in traffic.
Speaking of bikes, I rented a brand new Yamaha QBIC 12. All good but there is no way they can do better than Honda. Idle stop isn't nearly as fluid, Honda ESP has a mechanism which optimally position the piston when stopping, Yamaha clearly doesn't.
After a while I positioned my piston in both bores of a sweetheart from Soi Six. Face a 6, body a 5, but 9 in performances. Petite Phi a Chill Bar.

I said, "Well that's what you did last time!
