I disagree.
I worked with both hookers and "women outside of P4P" for about 10 years. Bar girls on one side, chefs, cooks, front desk staff, maids, service staff on the other side. No problem at all, they worked together very well, and there was no negative attitude towards hookers.
The reason (my POV) for that is that basically most of the "women outside of P4P" are still connected to P4P (or were connected to P4P before). P4P always WAS an option for them, or it IS an option in their lives right now (but hidden).
I found 2 groups of women that I could categorize as you described above, looking down to hookers as lazy low-lives who take the easy way out:
- arrogant HiSo women that have lost the connection to the basis because of certain (and mostly unexplainable) money inflow.
- ex Bar-girls who made it out of the scene (for some time) because they found a rich sugar daddy, boy friend, husband. Those bad-mouth strongly.
I consider 90 % of the Thai women to be potential P4P candidates. In one way or the other. P4P does not necessarily start in a bar. It happened many times to me that contact was made in an office, a dinner followed, and after all this "foreplay" ended in the bed certain "benefits" (payments, presents, support etc.) were expected.

PS: Two reasons for my opinion:
- most of the Thai's are still living too close to the poverty line. Money that can be made will be made - and moral and ethical values do not count during the money making process
- The general socialization of the women here, with the Buddhism as general environment and the responsibility of taking care of the family, especially parents and younger brothers and sisters ... P4P is an accepted option to fulfill higher value responsibilities.

To the Original Poster: This echoes my experiences to a "T." All of my "regular" GFs have all had the exact same opinion of bar girls. Lazy in the extreme. Money hungry. Dirty. Basically low-lifes.
