You're right, Tramontina steel doesn't need to be shit. Their tools are. I have purchased Pro Line at Amoeda as well as specialized lojas feramentas in Centro. I have had screwdriver blades twist and combination wrenches break. I gave up on Brasilian tools and brought Craftsman tools from the U.S.

I think Bad Boy is actually a U.S. company.

Sperto I'm not suggesting closing Help alone is going to meant that, but it is a powerful signal that times are changing in Rio and that our discussion on this forum might radically change in the next few years if the authorities continuing shutting down venues.

I'm very curious what the scene is like these days in Help now that it is closing for real, what are the girls saying about it? What is the mood like from the non-tourists around the club.

Something funny is folks who do not keep up with the news who visit Rio only once in a while will probably keep showing up at the area where Help is. They will sure be disappointed that it's no longer in business. I bet this will happen for years!

You mean "you'll get what you pay for" goes for GPs as well. If so I disagree. There are many cheap VM and Centro-GPs that will give a much better session than an expensive R$ 300 Help girl.

I can think of a couple of places in Copa that could serve as a new Help.

Mariuzinn, the club down on NS Copacabana 435 (R Paula Freitas).

Maybe they could rent the Clube Israelita Brasileiro, Rua Barata Ribeiro 489. This club already holds big forró parties.

Not to nitpick, but isn't Help owned/leased by a Spaniard? (Albeit one who probably paid all the appropriate "license fees" to the natives.)
