Socialism really has nothing to say about immigration or economic nationalism. Yes, people still want to come to the US, and I'm in favor (somewhat) of immigration. I want Thai restaurants, Russian programmers, and Brazilian swim suit models. But as long as people want to come here, we should decide how many and who we want to let it. We don't need anymore 75 year old grandmothers or illiterate lettuce pickers or car theives. We should want and welcome the Sergey Brins and Gisele bendchens. I don't particularly care for Americans (or white people) and I don't want to "make America great again". I just want to make it great for me. I want to drink water out of the faucet, leave my front door unlocked, walk down the street to Peet's without worrying about getting robbed by a hoodlum or stepping in some human shit. I want to live in an educated, organized, law abiding society -- believe me, these are socialist values.
