Cartagena Reports

I gotta tell you, a few things has changed since my last visit to Cartagena in 2003. The $ to peso was a lot better than now (1:2800) and the girls seemed to express more lovin. So the whole week I visited LDV like clockwork. This isn’t Bogota, where you can pick up girls anytime of the day. Cartagena girls are found in the evenings and nights. At least from my experience. Now in ’03, barebacking wasn’t really an issue, now, I gotta pay extra for it. Not only that, girls want 150k to go back to your place. My strategy, pick someone you’re really into. Then keep seeing her so the price goes down. Kinda like being brand loyal.

That’s what I did. Check her out. This is Mary (pink). A part-timer from Barranquilla. Will I see her again? Hell yeah! I got 110% out of her. Even a 3-some with one of her friends. Funny to see a chica that I slept with displayed here. Mary may be a part timer, but certainly not a short timer - she was there almost every night I was there back in last September.

The standard rate from the airport to Boca Grande (the tourist zone) is 15, 000 pesos ( $14). Going from your hotel back is negotiable. 8, 000 or so. This is pretty standard fare. Taxi drivers here are generally honest, just don't get in a cab with only 50k notes. A run to/from the old city is a consistent 5K. Getting around is easy.

A taxi ride from the airport to Boca Grande (the tourist zone) is $15K pesos, $14. A taxi ride to the airport is 8k. 10k. A trip from the Boca Grande area to the old city is consistently 5k. The taxi drivers are honest, but don't get in a cab with only a 50k bill on you!

Then they keep raising it from there. 15,000 pesos will get you a good 15-20 minute ride. Of course, always ask in advance.

Make sure you always have correct change available. If you don't, the taxi drivers will often times say they don't have change. This is their way of trying to get you to give up the difference between your bill and the fare - as if you're not willing to find change.

Ok, this is my second trip to Cartagena and I have some questions about how the casa's work. I'll include my field reports in a few days.

Here is what I know so far:

1. You can get with the chica short time for a house fee of around 40 to 60K

2. You can take home a chica for a larger fee, usually 100 to 140K I think

So how long can you keep the chica if you take her home at night? Does she have to go back early in the morning, or does she have the discretion to stay longer?

What if I like a chica, and want her to spend the day with me. For example, I call her the next morning to hang out. Do I need to pay a house fee? Is there a time period where a chica can leave the casa without having to pay a house fee? Is there a time period where one house fee would let me spend 24 hours with a chica? Anything else I should know?

BTW the reason I ask is because I brought home a chica last night from a casa. She was good and all, however she insisted she needed to leave at 6am when morning came. And as much as it hurts me to tell you guys this, she refused to put out in the morning! Is that common? How embarassing. And on top of that she wants me to call her later today to hang out? ! Give me a break. Maybe if I didn't have to pay a house fee, but I want to find a chica I really click with. Then me and her can do the fun travelling things. My mission for the next few days is to find a chica I click with.
