When I started going to Rio, I had used Amerioca and had no problems but Don had closed shop more than a decade ago. I am going after almost a decage to monger and I am trying find these guest friendly ones myself.

As for girls, I generally went to termas / prives and do the interview as suggested to filter for anal if I was feeling like it and then have a great time usually. In the Hotels and Apartments thread, members stated the Promenade Princess Hotel now functions as apartments, not a hotel. That information helped a lot. This club is in Realengo and far from Copacabana. It took 45 minutes and 70 BRL to get to the club by Uber. The club has four pool tables. All male clients are from working class. Thanks.[/QUOTE]As someone who's quite familiar with Sosua (love the beach) I can tell you one thing: Rio will blow you away. Here are a few thoughts.

1. Rio beaches aren't as cozy as the Sosua beach. They're open ocean, the sea is usually rough, and swimming is difficult. Still, the beach is gorgeous and busy.

2. Hotels. I like to stay on Avenida Atlantica, which is a Malecon in Rio. Depending on your budget you'll find cheaper places one or 2 blocks away, but nothing beats crossing the street and finding yourself on the beach. Both Hilton and JW Marriott are girl-friendly, but you'll need to check your guest at Hilton. There are more GF hotels on Atlantica, but I love Hilton for ocean-view rooms and two nice pool decks.

3. Apartments. Much cheaper than hotels, and you can find an Airbnb with a gorgeous view, but many restrict any guests who are not on your check-in list. Make sure to read the listing carefully, but I've stayed at some great apartments in Rio. Read the descriptions and the rules at the bottom of the page. When in doubt contact and ask the host.

4. Girls. I recommend to start with two termas: 4 x4 and Solarium. They are pricy for Rio, but very enjoyable. Then ease into boates (clubs) and prives ("small hoarhouses).
