HELP and some other clubs...
Visited HELP for the first time (and it became the last time) two weeks ago, I think it was a Thursday (R30 before 12, R40 after). I drank in the cafe in front a few times and saw most girls in the good light. They all then go to HELP, hoping that the same guys who didn't take them earlier have enough drink and frustration to make a move later on !?
Enough to say I wasn't impressed by the club, the music was terrible and no one was dancing. These are Brazilian girls and where itching to dance but the DJ was carrying on with some crap, boring techno all night, I'm sure some more Latin rhythm would have done wonders.
Girls were not that chatty, as I found in Forta and Rio, even GDPs in Brazil like to be chased and play hard to get !? A few that come to you don't even make it to 5/6 on the scale - normally the ones you don't fancy.
One that I liked finally came around to talk but after 30 seconds of so called dancing in front of me asked for a Red Bull and Vodka. I said after we dance I buy you drink, let's dance now, she said no, buy me the drink now - forget it, I've been hussled before, it's not my first time in a pick up joint.....
Obviously most guys and girls standing around looking at each other ! I congratulate guys for not buying Red Bull and Vodka to talk to a GDP !? I think these girls really had it easy, basically they demand expensive drinks to see how easy you are for later to ask for R500.... (that was the quote the guys were getting and telling me).
At 4am, I brought one down to R150, but then I said BBBJ and she said no, only CBJ. I think she changed her mind and used that as an excuse not to go, she was standing outside when I left and not being that good looking was going home solo for sure. I said goodbye to rub it in and left....
That was enough of HELP for me, I did pull two girls from outside, one was OK, one was not that good. Though I paid my price not theirs, R150, for two sessions with each one (one stayed TLN and came back the next night for another session for R100).
I also went to a club called Mariuzinn (sp?) in NS Copa, Leme end of it (I think they add "y" to the end when they say the name). it was Sat., some nice, normal girls, all young 20-30, but more guys than girls, a lot more, so competition was tough. Again, I still don't know if I can approach a Brazilian girl or not, can't read their come on look - I have mastered this with DR and Thai girls. Left without any result R40 (incl, two crap drinks). Music, techno bore.
I also went to Rio do Scenarium in Lapa (Friday night R25 entry). Many seats for eating, it resembles a museum, loads of antics on the walls and decorations, and a couple of dancing rooms, one live music, groud floor (some Forro at the end), another with DJ, no Samba as I was expecting though. Not many hot girls here, in fact I would say mainly 35-40yrs, quite a few were a bit drunk and many gives you the eye. Again, 2 or 3 times more guys. I waited 25min in the queue, but I was leaving after half hour, when I found a young mulata that was giving me the eye, went and chat and danced with her and her friend a bit, bought some drinks for them (drinks are not that expensive there and they only wanted soft drinks anyway). Then we found a guy for her friend, I did some translating (my porto sucks but that guy couldn't even say hello in porto!?), we ended up taking them back for the night, luckyyyyyyy.
It ended up as a freebie (stayed until morning, though no morning session, as she was so late for work in the morning, we only did one session at night), quite unexpected scenario. She wouldn't even accept a taxi fare in the morning, though I put R20 in her pocket anyway (I also contributed R20 on club exit for her entry). So it didn't turn out too bad after all. I was leaving the next day so didn't get to see her again, shame, could have had a lot of fun.
I think knowing where to go in Rio is important, or else you waste a lot of time as a newbie (I mean clubs, the termas and mp are well documented here). Though it won't be easy finding your favourite spot, trial and error...
I report on termas later...
