Closed on Sundays? Why, because they have to go to Church? LOL
You can go to "la veinte" in the morning, or "eventos liz", or maybe you should look at elpais newspaper or mundoanuncios in internet.

Also, are there SWs around during the day time in Cali?
I'm considering going in Feb.
What about a motel in menga 5 minutes from chipichape plaza shopping, for example motel deseos or moonlight cost 30 mil pesos each hour, http://www.moteldeseos.com. Amoblados garage stars I think is a bit ugly but is 3 minutes walking by walk from chipichape. If you need a taxi, be careful, for your security, you must call them by phone and confirm the number that the taxy agency provide you, specially by night, (you can look at the yellow pages in the phone directory of your hotel. GLook, and enjoy Cali.
I'll be arriving in Cali on Christmas Day. I hope to party a lot whilst the Feria is happening. I'll also be visiting a couple of the "establishments". I've just spend the last 2 hours reading through this forum. Thanks to cubanut for some very informative posts. Think I'll be visiting one of more of these places.
Oh. I'm also a keen mountain biker and kayaker, so if anyone knows of any places that can help with with these activities, then please let me know.

I am sorry for asking some of the stupid questions of a newbie, but I have studied the Cali threads a lot and I still have questions. In January I will be on my first trip to Colombia and to Cali. However, I am an experienced traveller in East Europe, mostly Russia and Ukraine and there I always stay in apartments. And I apreciate the freedom it provides.
Questions:
1. Where is best to stay to be close to restaurants and bars. With action not too far away? The centre?
2. There are not so many apartment options. I see.
www.calirental
, but I do not understand where the different apartments are located (I want a 2-room apt, (1 bedroom). Internet is also necessary. Any suggestions?
3. Because it is the first time I am there and I definitely don't know the city, it may be just as well to stay in a hotel? Are all hotels girl-friendly? Or should I just book a room for two?
4. I find what seems to be a good hotel in the centre: Cali Plaza Hotel. Any comments about this hotel? It seems to be a small hotel, but nice, located in the centre. In a small hotel you loose some of the discretion.)
Finally I have a different question: I will arrive via Bogota. What are the experiences with this airport? How quick do one pass through passport control and customs? What is the necessary time between arrival and when to check in for a flight to Cali?
Thanks guys for any information.

Escoces
Don't forget la clinica doctor amor, I dunno if is a good time to do external activities, the weather here in valle del cauca is very dangerous because of flooding (prepare your umbrella) , specially the cauca's river, be careful. Cali for now is ok, and I dnt think there are obstacles for the feria.

San cipriano is a good place to go, I don't now about actual weather condition, but you can ask or search it in internet.

Best just rent a hotel single. Cause if you're like me, most nights you'll be going home alone. Unless you like overpriced sweathogs. I haven't been to Cali, just Cartagena, and santa marta, and surrounding beaches. I know I went to the wrong places, but I was just absolutely astonished at the lack of good hot pussy. The clubs were absolute jokes. I guess I should have gone to Cali as planned, but I made it back home with enough money left for another trip elsewhere. The chicks that work in the stores are the way to go, if you have the patience, the lingo, and the money to stay in the over priced rathole hotels. Of a 1500 USD a month appt if you call that sustainable. I've never watched my savings account vanish faster on a sex tour, and had less sex. Obviously it didn't click for me.
Simple question for all the Cali pros, I'm having trouble finding street address looking at WT69's fantastic list. For example,
Fantasias Night Club, Av. 2DN #24 N-113,
Albaricoque Club, Av. 2EN #24N-76.
What is the difference between Av. 2DN and 2EN? And what is #24N-113? Does #24 means calle 24? And 113 is the number? Meaning house number 113 on Av 2DN above the junction with calle 24N?
Thanks. By the same logic CLínica Doctor Amor / Dr Love, Av. 2 Norte #23N-23 looks like it is close to the river?
Lonely planet doesn't even label its streets. Looks like Cali is much bigger than what Lonely planet boxes in in their map.
Thanks
I used the University of Texas Map of Cali.
You will have to search for it.
The Google map should help you also.

The theory is simple, but in practice the steets are complicated. Above the river Cali is North, so Av 2DN is north of the river. The number part, #24N-113 means between Calle 24 and 25, with 113 probably being closer to the Calle 25 end of the block. How did I know that Ave2DN is a Carrera? I search for the that address in Cali Colombia in Google maps, and then looked at the streets around it. Avenide means it is a main boulevard, or in this case, a street parallel to a main boulevard.
This is basic Colombia street logic. The complication in Calli is that the river is not straight, it has big curves in it. At those points, they have to introduce 1 to 6 intermediate street names (AV2AN, AV2BN, Av2CN.). It may seem that the address must be close to where you are standing, but it could actually be quite a long walk. And sometimes the streets make a sharp confusing turn, in order to keep parallel to the river.
The first time I looked for Clinica Doctor Amor on foot, it was a very long, confusing walk. Yes, Ave 2N runs along the riverfront where Clinica Doctor Amor is located, but in other places the riverfront street has different names. Again, Google maps is your friend, or take a taxi the first time.

I'm heading to Cali for the first time next week and having been reading the Cali thread in detail. I came across "Las Profesionales" and it caught my interest because of the lady that will bring a photo album for you to choose a girl from.
The only contact info in the Cali thread I see on Las Profesionales is their website which doesn't seem to be running:
http://www.lasprofesionales.com
Does anyone have any other contact info for Las Profesionales?
Thanks,
Bijou

Is all the same just a new page.
I am already racking my brain about where to go in August. I still haven't made it to Cali. WHY? The hotel thing still confuses me.
Can you find a decent hotel in Cali with AC for $40 or under and which part of town are those hotels located? Any website info would be greatly appreciated.
I stay in el centro in Medellin. As long as my hotel is cozy I can stay in a dodgy area no problem.
Thank you for any info.
* YES I have RTFF many times and have gone over WT69 awesome list several times. It seems like $60 per night is what most people are paying. I like to hang for at least 3 weeks to a month. Can't do $60 a night.
