If you are worried about HIV; the risk is very low. Almost negligible from this act. The acids in the mouth and saliva don't carry the HIV germs. Secondly even with bleeding gums the acids in the mouth take care not to retain and transmit them. There are not any documented cases of catching HIV from BBBJ (apart from one which was not proven exclusively because of this act).
