I'm back from a trip to Thailand, and thought I would share some experiences.
Firstly, to explain what I am looking for. I'm a somewhat older guy, as my moniker suggests, and I am not necessarily looking for super young babes. It's just got to the age where that is less exciting (like being the experienced older man), and more plain creepy (like a Prince Andrew / Epstein type). Also, I just think you often get a better experience, perhaps I think especially somewhere like Thailand, the ladies like to be able to at least imagine you're their boyfriend and not just another punter.
Anyway, with that being said, before going, I tried the online Thai Friendly thing (and Tinder when I was there). More out of curiosity than great expectation. Actually, it was pretty easy to engage various women in chat, although it was harder to work out what they were really looking for. Some made it clear they were looking for love / long term relationship, and others were pretty obviously freelancers. But there were a lot in between where it was far from clear.
Anyway, it's a bit of effort for sure, but I made some arrangements to meet a few. There were plenty more I could have met as well if I'd had time. They were a pretty mixed bunch. One woman was clearly terrified as to what she might have got herself into, there was another nice friendly and quite attractive woman, but no hint of anything beyond talk. But there was one who seemed very keen, and I met up with her. A bit younger than me, but still quite nice looking. And she was physical from the off. It didn't take any real persuading for her to come up to me room, and once up there. Well there was no holding back, straight onto the bed, and she was VERY enthusiastic.
I met up with her for a few nights, and enjoyable as it all was, the only issue was that she clearly was wanting to take over my whole trip, which wasn't my idea, so I had to disengage after a few days. But this was real no holds barred lovemaking. No money even hinted at.
I suspect that older Thai ladies don't have many options on the dating front. I don't think there's much of a dating scene locally for their demographic, and so once they are passed "marriageable age" they don't have many outlets, so foreigners can seem a good bet. Anyway, in summary, although the whole online TF thing is a bit of effort, it is quite interesting (even for the "dates" that don't go anywhere), and as I found, sometimes they very much do.
Anyway, after that, I decided I wanted to just go for something without any expectations, so investigated the bars on the Loi Kroh Road. Basically, as you head down this road from the City Walls, away from the centre, there are a whole string of bars along the road, and further down, a kind of bigger group of them in a plaza. The Plaza area is louder and brasher, with the ones on the road itself a bit more laid back (more my scene). Looking up and down, there was, as usual, a mix of the young, not so young, nice looking and kind of not so appealing, but plenty of choice, and not so many customers so lots of options.
I went into one, and ended up with a somewhat older, but still attractive older woman who actually spoke very good English. Decided to bar fine her (500 baht), and take her back for a short time (2000, probably could have knocked it down to 1500, but hey). Once in the room, passionate kissing, and soon she was riding me, and then, apropos nothing in particular, said "I think I want to come now", started some intensive grinding, and that's exactly what she did. I found this extremely erotic.
Now I am not some delusional guy who thinks hookers are in ecstasy when they do a bit of fake moaning, I'd say less that 5% of the P4 P encounters I have had involved real pleasure on part of the other party, if that. But this was the real thing for sure.
Anyway, I enjoyed the session a lot and arranged to meet her for dinner the next evening. This time, after the first session, I was pretty done, but she wanted to go again! Well, it would be rude to decline.
So overall I had a lot of fun in Chiang Mai. Maybe the lack of tourists in recent years means that there are a lot of sex starved ladies there, I don't know. My experiences certainly aren't always like this, but this was a good one!
For the rest of my trip, I moved on to Koh Chang, so this part is in "other areas".

Thailand culture is like other Asian countries in that once a woman is past a certain age, has children, been married, or has been with a western man, she is no longer considered desirable by local men. I hooked up with a 47 year old who had been married to a European man and had grown children. Talk about sex starved. Great times.

Was wondering if there are any short time hotels options near the beer bars that would be available.

[/QUOTE]Have been to Chiang Mai many times, will be back Dec 10. Do not know about the POR Thapae Gate Hotel. However, on Loi Kroh road (where most of the bars are located), there are at least two short time hotels. I do not remember the names, but they are there, well known, and fairly cheap; I recall about 500 THB per two or three hours.

Thanks.[/QUOTE]Honestly, I'd be surprised if any hotel in central Chiang Mai made an issue of it. Just make sure you've booked a room for two. I stayed in two places there. One high end, one more modest, and neither batted an eyelid.
As long as your squeeze doesn't scream "hooker", and you're not planning an orgy, what are they going to do? There are plenty of mixed Asian / Western couples around (of all varieties), so if you walk in with someone, so what? Often the people in the evening aren't the ones who were there when you checked in anyway.

She might not have won a "hottest babe ever" contest, but for me she was still slim and pretty. And yeah. Sex starved was my impression!
And I'm really not the kind of guy who generally can seduce any lady who crosses my path!

I got a really nice 90 minutes massage with BBBJTC at 1000 be. This was in March though. HJ was 500. FS wasn't avaiilable with this provider and neither would I have been interested. Unfortunately, I can't give you current rates. Hope this helps.

Have been here many times. Loi Kroh Road is all about teasing. If you want a good foot massage, Nature Massage on Loi Kroh is the best. Most of the shops are non-erotic or HJ-only. Too many of the ladies on Loi Kroh have GPS, "golden pussy syndrome," wanting 1000 baht or more for a HJ. And most are not very skilled. There are exceptions, look for Opal at Blue Sky Massage, or Lek at Flower Massage (I think), right next to "We Love Massage. " Sometimes, you can get BJ, rarely FS. If you want better experience, Loi Kroh intersects with Kamphaengdin Road. The shops on Kamphaengdin are mostly full service. Rates vary, partly on how you interact with the provider. There is an excellent, fairly advanced studio in the old city run by an American I now know well. I have been coming to Chiang Mai for 5-7 or 8 weeks every winter for 10 years, except one due to the lockdowns. I am also interested in the history and enjoy exploring temples and older neighborhoods outside the old city. If you sign up for a membership, I think $8 for a year, there is good information. You will find that there are many places that cater to Thai men, and you must speak some Thai to go there. This means that there is likely no English spoken. Walking around checking out some of these places, there are sometimes other places nearby that are more foreigner-friendly, but as I said, fairly hidden away, not in the main tourist areas.
Inside the old city (or as said here, inside the moat), because of high tourism and wanting to be family-friendly, it is HIGHLY unliklely that you will get ANY erotic ending to a massage (after all these years of coming here, I have never heard of erotic endings in the old city). And along Loi Kroh (which is outside the moat), many of the shops are legit-only, too, or HJ-only. As I said, start out exploring Kanphaengdin Road, or Thapae Road Soi 1. Then go south along Kamphaengdin Road to Sridonchai, and explore Sridonchai. Some of these shops will yield a very fun time. Then explore Kamphaengdin south of Sridonchai and you will find a couple of the "karaoke" places that cater to Thai men. BTW, there is NO karaoke there, that is just a ruse. They are basically take-away brothels, and the ladies are typically Burmese, Laotian, or Thai from the far north.
Another to check out. From the main road that comes into town from the airport and Central Airport Plaza, turn onto Hai Ya Road, and at night you will see several of the so-called "karaoke" places sometimes fairly well lit up. And there are a few masssage shops there, too that are more farang-friendly.
As I said, your mileage will vary. And as we all know, treating the ladies well goes a long way in getting extra service.
