This is my first report, I have been following this forum for a long time but never posted because its difficult for me to get alone time to do it. I will start by introducing myself, I have been mongering my entire life. I am now in my 40's and I have mongered all over the you. S and Brazil only. Last June I decided to check out the DR. I have been many times to Punta Cana, la Romana, and Puerto Plata doing the family thing but decided to go solo and have some fun. Well, I was on Badoo and met this Haitian girl, 21 yo turning 22 with a 3 yo son. She lives home with mom and believe it or not she is neither a pro or non pro. I chatted with her on whatsapp for quit some time, she appeared to only work and stay home. I would ask her what she was doing and she would say I'm home. I would ask her to send me a pic and yes she was home. Anyhow, take that for what its worth. So I decided to come to PP and meet her. What makes this story more interesting is my family situation and what it took to pull this off. But unfortunately I will not explain. I would like to but I can't, so lets move on. I bought non stop ticket from * to PP for $367 RT. I booked 3 different hotels because I wanted to bounce around. So, I landed in PP at around noon, picked up my rental car. Now here is where things get fucked. The airport in PP didn't have SIM cards, no claro or orange store, (shit). I need this to use my phone for GPS map and contact my friend. So the counter person at car rental place said to me where the orange store was but I had no idea what she was talking about as I don't speak any Spanish at all. Haha yes no Spanish. So now I'm in the car sitting at airport with no idea where to go, so I follow sign for PP and stop 6 times to ask people where orange was. It was crazy and stressful but finally I made it and got my sim card. Total cost was probably like 30 dollars which I used my phone for 8 days without problem. Now I head towards my PP address. This is also where things get fucked up. This girl gave me the worst directions and address. For a minute I thought maybe she was retarded, but anyway I ended up on a dirt road almost wrecking the underneath of my car. The road comes to a dead end and I'm just sitting there trying to call her. Then this guy comes out of his house and knocks on my window, I show him picture of girl and says yes ill take you. He jumps on his motorcycle and I follow. Well not far I find her and I give him 100 pesos for the help. Actually he asked for it haha. The funny part is that this guy was the brother of her sons father if you can follow that. Strange, small world. Anyway, I find her and load her up with mother and son and we head to Confresi for 2 nights. Yeah I know, why the fuck would I do that? I asked myself the same question but I'm into different things and like to get to know different cultures and people. Anyhow, to each ones own. Well it was a stressful situation, you know, I'm in my 40's she is 22 now and mother is judging me big time. But after 2 days all is well. Confresi was nice, nice pool and rooms. We had adjoining rooms with the mother and son so plowing down was difficult. We went to a couple shows and the casino, I got pulled over by the cops for DUI and had weed in my pocket but paid my way out. That's another story. I also got in trouble when I stole a golf cart and tried to leave the complex and go to casino, I was wrecked and the security stopped me at the gate and said this cart isn't yours, haha, I said it was a friends and he said no its not. He tried to charge me 200 dollars but I said fuck off, that I thought it came with the room but I knew it didn't, he let me go, the next day I bought smoke from him, haha, so now I bring the mother and son back to home and we had a BBQ with all the family, of course I had to buy the food and drink but it was good and fun. We now head to our next destination which was like a 3 hour drive. We went to Rio San Juan "grand Bahia principal". There I met up with a friend and his girl. He is a pilot for a major airline and flew into SD and drove to rio San Juan to meet me. This is where the fun was. Lots of drinking, eating, swimming and fucking like retards. As soon as we got to our room in the shower we go. This girls body is insane. Small tits but the rest is tight. She is skinny but has awesome curves and a perfect pussy. She is a amateur at sex but I schooled her. Haha we did just about everything you would do with your longtime girlfriend except BB sex. I always use condom with sex, always. They have a pool that stays open till 11 pm which I liked a lot as I love the water. And they had a beach bar That was open 24 hours. I drank a lot here and went to the casino a couple times and did pretty well. I taught my friend how to play blackjack. I gave her the winnings, about 200 dollars. The rooms here are like porno rooms, neon lights around the bed and shit like that. Haha. She did jack me off in the pool so if you go don't go in the pool, hahaha. Yes, I'm a slob. Well now I bring her home early in the morning because I wanted to swing through Sosua before the hit the airport. I dropped her off at home and I had to deal with her crying and all that shit but I was trying to bolt fast. Now I'm pulling into Sosua with no idea where to go in the morning for a coffee. Well I find a place with a seat on the sidewalk kind of situation. I'm drinking my coffee and then this girl walks by carrying a bad like with food for lunch or breakfast. She smiled and I offer her a coffee, She says yes and sits with me. Now remember I don't speak Spanish so its difficult to deal with this shit. Well between my translator on the phone and a guy helping me it worked out. She grabs my phone and says to come to her place for fuck. I say that I don't have much time because of my flight. She says it won't take long and her place is close, haha I say now much for half hour hard fuck? She says 3000 peso, I laugh and say 1000 and 500 more if she is good. She excepts with a smile. We jump in my car and drive for 2 minutes or so and go into her place, small place with another girl there. We head into the bedroom and this girl is a performer. DFK BBJ and I hit the toto hard, real hard. I was getting ready to blow so I pulled bag off and grabbed her by the hair and nut down the throat. I gave her 1500 peso. What a way to finish my trip. Off to the airport I go. I return my rental car and they said there were scratches so they wanted to charge me. When I was in Sosua in August, Wilfried was once again greeting his patrons personally at meals. This was after his surgery. Or even the ability to pretend that there's one. If I see a hot American babe, I want to fuck her, but I surely don't want to have to talk to her, or even worse, listen to her.
I will soon be in Sosua for my second trip and have been reading up on recent trip reports here and elsewhere online to learn how the town has changed in the wake of the crackdown, which occurred after my first trip last tear. The biggest change for me will be the evidently indefinite closure of Rumba, where I spent most of my mongering time, pulled most of my chicas, and found all of my best chicas. Among other factors, I like start my mongering shortly after dinner, at say 6 or 7 pm, and I usually try to avoid pulling chicas too late at night. The peak hours at Rumba (from 6 or 7 pm to 11 pm or so) suited me perfectly. I did not fare as well at Classico late at night or on the beach during the day, and I did not hit the after-hours casino scene at all.
My reading of trip reports from the past six months has left me with the impression that there is no one venue that has filled the gap that the closure of Rumba has created, and that the action has spread from there to a variety of smaller venues along the Sosua strip. It nonetheless sounds like Bourbon Street may have captured the largest single share of the action that used to be at Rumba in the evening and earlier at night, before Classico gets busy.
Would you agree or disagree? Other than Bourbon Street, are there any other specif venues on the Sosua strip that you would recommend for evening or early, pre-Classico nighttime action?
My recollection of Bourbon Street from my last trip was that it was more like somewhere that you would go primarily in order to eat, rather than hang out and look for chicas. I had one dinner there, and it was quite good. I tried the cigar lounge in back, where an Italian guy sold locally made cigars from a factory down by the beach (not bad, but Cafe Cubano was better). There were usually a few chicas hanging out at the bar, but it did not strike me as much of a pick-up venue at the time.
However I am scared of you. You had big fun time but you were on the edge many times. Somebody was looking out for you cause you broke all my rules and got away with it. Drinking and driving being caught with weed renting a car are all on my no no list. You put yourself in a position to be extorted. The DR is full of folk who will take you down if given the chance. I am glad you survived it but please reflect and learn. Don' push your luck. I would recommend wild out in Sosua over wifing up. Maybe hit your girl to start your trip and finish in Sosua.

Younger guys like unpredictable adventure and the challenge of surviving it all, but older guys like to plan ahead and generally know how it will all go down. You were lucky, as drinkers often are, but you got a break because you were new and kept moving. A rolling stone gathers no moss. But repeated behavior like that, and heavy drinking and weed off the reservation will get you targeted and eventually in trouble. DR is obviously a little more forgiving of raw behavior than say Europe or NA. , which is one of it's attractions.
But we all roll different ways, and it's your dime. Not being judgmental here, but you posted your experience here for a reason. Thanks for sharing.
(I too once was young. I lost my passport in Paris, and drank my way to the U.K. And then to Canada, just by showing up at the airports for my flight, as if I fully expected to get what I'd paid for. But that was then!
Yes, you guys are right. I know I did things that were on the no no list. I know this, and believe me I won't be doing that again. I don't drink much here in the states so when I go away I hammer down. I do keep my composure when I'm drinking but I do make some bad choices once in a while. This is why I wish my wingman was there for the entire trip to say, "hey man, maybe that's not a good idea". Hahaha.
I do like to set a plan which I will for my next trip. As Oldkool suggested, I think I will fly into PP and taxi to Sosua and hammer down. I need a calm and cool vacation as I'm shot because of to much work and stressful times. But, this hottie in Santiago is temping me to fly into STI, hammer down for two days, then rent a car and drive to Sosua then fly out of PP. I'm not sure if I want to stress myself out like this. I think in the end I will do the easy. I really hope to meet you guys in Sosua. I would like the run down about the area from a couple of pro's. The only thing I know about Sosua is from reading here.
