Are you sure you made the comparison between the same car groups(Polo or equivalent, there are no Smarts in the amigosauto one).I have just checked for a Polo and got the following rates at amigosauto- 189 a week all, including LDW insurance and without kms limitation
X Sixt 197 euros a week without the LDW insurance, the one that covers the rented car itself (about 10 euros a day) and limited to 700 km.

Do not take me wrong, I have no interest here whatsoever, have not even settled the deal yet, so will be glad if we can get a better price at Sixt, we just got different quotes in the same sites, so one of us is doing something different, I think comparing different car groups.

It is only available via internet reservation and the offers are only valid via internet, you should make your reservation at least 48 hours prior your arrival. Otherwise, the system doesn't allow you to make reservation for a last minute flight opportunity.

And you pick-up the cars from some Sixt offices. So you may rely the condition of the cars.

I double checked and compared it again, thi time for two weeks basis. amigoauto found a deal from Sixt for a Polo for 384 Euro (most probably with unlimited mileage): On the other hand sixti found (a Corsa or the same size car) for 255 Euro for the same amount of time. But the LDW is not included and there is a restriction of 1500 km mileage. I think the insurance and other supplements make the difference.

You are right, creature2. I was the one mistaken since I was comparing the rate of a mini car(Polo) in amigosauto, with the midi cars group from sixti. Since the smarts are not listed on the amigosauto site, I just assumed(wrongly) they were not included in their cheapest group. Comparing mini with mini groups sitxti is cheaper indeed. Anyway, this discussion has been extremely useful for me because I was about to rent one minicar through amigoauto, which I thought would never be a Smart, for the whole length of my stay, and might quite well get an Smart. I could not stand driving in german autobahns for 13, 14 days with that kind of car, no way. So I will rent a mini car from the Sixti site for 4 days, the time we are gonna be in Hesse going to the 3 FKKS and doing some sight seeing during the day around Frankfurt. Thus, if I get a Smart for that, no problem, but for the rest of the trip, if I have got a Polo or a Fiesta I keep the same car while renovating the rent,if not, book one of the superior group,a Focus or something, now to travel in NRW.

Since I am gonnna be in Germany for 18 days as a whole I thought that it might be cheaper to buy a wifi card for the whole period instead of buying cards for 24 hours. I mean the cards that come with codes for using their wifi spots for a certain time,not the USB card,just like for instance the telefonica wificards available in Spain. Yep, I have googled it but had no success.

Does anybody know about wifi cards, prices, websites, if possible that can be used in the Accor hotels wifi spots?

By the way, does one need to rent cars with winter tires in germany at this time of the year(april)?

What makes this program particularly intensive is the PT component to it.

Most newbies do the Hessen 3 and stop there. I personally would drop Palace from the list. Come to think of it, you could drop World and not miss anything either. Or you can save World for the day you take a break during this segment of the trip.

I am not a fan of the Golden Triangle clubs and I'd think twice about Parksauna in Wildenrath. There haven't been good reports coming out of that club for a while. But that shouldn't stop you.

If you are in exploring mood, you can drop by Villa Vertigo and also Residenz in Lohmar-Durbusch. We need more content on these clubs.

On the way up to NRW with a car I'd not miss stopping at Finca Erotica in Dierdorf.

I'd spend at least two days at Dorsten checking out Heavensgate and also PT Dorsten. I'd just make sure I didn't visit PT Dorsten on a [i]jour d'affluence[/i], as the French say.

Part of the fun in visiting a PT is for the interactions with the women and the other guests. It almost has nothing to do with sex at all. And the sex is more like poking: you poke at one chick, then you poke at another. Don't take it too seriously. The women certainly don't take it seriously.

PTs, you will find, are like life itself, a compromise. None of them are perfect. Each has its positives and its negatives.

If I were you I'd base myself out of different hotels as I made my way north. Otherwise you will find yourself burning a lot of expensive gasoline back tracking to Duesseldorf simply because your hotel was there.

My hotel stops would be north of Frankfurt (to be near Oase and World), then in Dierdorf near Finca, then in the Golden Triangle somewhere to access those clubs. Then I'd spend a couple of days in Dorsten and then on to Muenster to do PT Traumland and Pitstop.

If I had time like this (and a car), I'd also make sure I didn't miss Zeus in Osnabrueck-Wallenhorst.

I'd also think about which sections of this trip wouldn't require a car. That would cut down on expenses.

Basically, I should clarify that sixti doesn't have too much Smart cars. The pictures on the web page is for an image and even if you request a Smart, they most probably will propose you a Fiesta or Corsa in the same segment but which is a way bigger. They can't provide a Smart, simply because they don't have it in each and every station. And the funny thing is, the cars (excepts Smarts) are not branded as you see them on the web page, otherwise it would not be comfortable to enter the car park of a club with a car from sixti :)

Last weekend, I made my Easter vacation in NRW and I visited three clubs, a mix of Saunaclubs and partytreffs, and I visited again Mettmann. The club is always was full of wild and raw sex. According to my knowledge such cards are not available in Germany in general terms, maybe in some areas.

WiFi access depends where you are, and you have to find out who is the provider. Than you need to get the access code from them.

Regarding rental cars: I am now changing my winter tires against summer tires now. To my opinion you just can rent a car. However there is no guaranty that there is no snow in Germany until even May, depending in which area you will be.
