All of the Filipina I have been with and know all are good conversationalist. Maybe not the smartest around but still could hold a good conversation on plenty of subjects. They were all educated and most are OFW, maybe that has something to do with it.

It would also depend on where your pulling your women from. If you want a woman with worldly views and who can talk about politics and other various things then the mall or bars might not be the best place to find them. They might not be the majority but they exist.

I've had great post bedbouncing conversations with most of my girls and we still chat regualrly even if we don't bonk regualrly. Maybe the ones you have nmet are less educated and less interesting. Personally I find the girls I mete to be fun funny and fine company. I'm often never sure if we should go for a drink or a fuck as both are good times.

You may want to vary your approach for better results. I've certainly seen no difference in them with an Indonesian or Malaysian cutie and I've lived in all places. Oh and I've been married to a Pinay for over 20 years.

I experienced the 5 minute conversation about nothing last night to my recent "gf"......but I have also a friend in Manila who is a Mgr in one of the call centres, has traveled around the world and we can have good conversations about anything. I was recently in Italy and we spoke about the Vatican etc etc.

I have a wife that wants to talk all the time and it sometimes fucks me off so maybe the contrast is sometimes good !!!

What I cant deal with is trying to understand what makes Pinays tick and working out which are real scammers and would lie to anyone for money and those that genuinely like me.....it was hard enough with western women but these girls are on a different planet.

Some advice pls from those that have visited the family in the province.

I am bringing a girl back from Dubai who is out of her depth, is almost suicidal and needs a break. She is broke and refuses to sleep anyone. I was due to be in Manila anyway so the trip to Leyte is not much more hassle and I can airmile her back to Manila.

However she wants to introduce me to her parents and has "fallen in love" with me!!

I know they have no ac no tv live in a very poor home which doesnt bother me, I can live like that for a few days. I just want to make sure she gets home.

I know its not really related to mongering but any advice on how to deal with the family would be good.........

Where does one start?
I think a lot of it will depend on you and your resolve before you arrive and afterwards.
If the family turns out to honest, toiling, non-scamming people then it will be difficult for you to NOT want to give them something to brighten their days.
Even if you decide not to, life will go on for them as before.
If they turn out to be money-grabbers and difficult to deal with, then you can just drop the girl off and skedaddle off out of there asap.
I will guess it will be the former, and you will have a wonderful few days living with nothing and you will empty your wallet when you leave and feel really good about it on the way home

This time last year I did exactly that.

The gf had taken her annual leave from Doha, and wanted me to come with me to the family house.

Way out of teh way place. No runing water. The first one awake in the morning pomped water from teh well with a hand pump and filled teh tubs and basins in the house.

Mum cooked over a wood fire.

No TV.

had a great time. He is a rice farmer, explained his farming system. She a housewife. Two young cousins going to school.

We ate the rice that he grew, the chickens in the yard, the fish that he caught, fruit from the trees.

But I bought some vegetables and some milk. Plus some instant coffee and tea bags.

Two friends took us to where we needed to go on the back of their motor bikes. We walked around the place. She went to visit her old primary school, and I gave an impromptu address about Australia. Same with her high school.

We were welcomed everywhere. read story books to the kids in English, taught them western nursery rhymes.

She bought a washing machine for her mother, but mum would not use it. We stripped off and washed together with the rest of the family in the house.

Lovely. The truly simple life.

We were waved off with farewells and tears.

They are dead straight, honest, reliable. Not quite middle class, but not totally subsistence farmers either.

You can learn a great deal if you keep an open mind.

I have visited girls home couple of times. One was near Baybay, Leyte. I was dating this 19 year old girl who I met online. Flew her many times to Manila and stayed with her a week at a time. Very pretty GFE. Anyway she kept on asking me to visit her house, even her mom asked me to come whenever she was on the phone. On a whim I decided to go there mainly because wanted to see the local area. Flew to Tacloban with her. We were met by atleast 8 people her father, mother, sister, aunt and some cousins. They rented a big van( I paid). Right out of the airport they all decided that they are hungry and stopped at a roadside barbecue place ( I paid). From tacloban to baybay it took approx 2 hours. By looking at her people I knew they were very poor and decided to stay in Baybay hotel mainly in order not to put them in trouble treating me. Initial plan was to stay at her place for a week. They dropped me at the hotel and the girl went home woith her folks promising to come ack in a couple of hours. She did come back in a borrowed moped and kept that moped to take me around everywhere. She was attending school ( I supported) Leyte state college.
Next day she said her parents has invited us for dinner and she wanted buy things for dinner ( I paid). In the evening she came and picked me up drove about 45 minutes to her place. A tiny house with 2 rooms and a kitchen and a bath /toilet with a hole. I had brought 2 bottles of duty free whisky and I gave to her parents. All the neighbours were curios to see me and I would say close to 50 people came to see me. All smiled and some talked little. The girl had her own room, she said so we went in there and fooled around little it because she wanted in her own bed. Suddenly dinner was ready and only two plates were there one for me and the other for the girl. They served pork and rice only. It was delicious but I dare not help myself to a big portion because I felt there was not enough food for all. The girl finished her dinner fast and the same plate was washed and her father was served in that. I figured by this time they had only two decent plates. So I finished fast. At that time her uncle and aunt came who has a farm nearby. They were served in the same plates. Uncle tried to convince me to invest in his farm by buying farm machinery and he said can make good money in business. I showed interest just to be polite. Pretty soon I was tired of the whole thing and told the family I need to go. The father wanted to take me fishing next day. I said I will let him know. Back in the room I told the girl I wanted go stay in Ormoc because the hotel I was staying is not good. We had a good time in Ormoc.
The whole experience put me off so much that whenever the girls ask me to visit their place I would decline.
I need some basic restroom facilities and running water in order to stay. I was also afraid of catching something and getting sick. But the people are extremely friendly.
So I would say if you want to visit a girl's place it is ok as long as you stay in a hotel. Also be aware that you need to pay for everything even if they host the dinner.

My conclusion from this:

avoid meeting family of the girls.
you will experience just the same what sammon described very well.
I am CLEAR about that to all girls. If they want me to meet their family I DECLINE POLITELY and give the reason: " I am sorry, I know Pinoy mentality and I dont want to raise fal,se hopes in them because what you knw from my profile already: I am NOT marriage minded "

The pinay that I had a serious relationship with was raised and college educated in the United States.. She could carry a decent conversation, plus give me a great blowjob!

Whatsgoingon, "visiting the family" is a clear signal unless you do not state your purpose of NOT being/getting serious with her. I visited several families but have "just a dear friend" tattooed in my fore head (and on my fore skin). I love to visit such homes. As Gangles describes, it opens up for so many great experiences.

On the topic of not being able to have conversations with Pinays. Try some Thai girls. I did the last weeks and that my friends was great sex, the best care ever from a woman, but less substancial conversation than I used to have with my pet rabbit.

I met my share of Pinays and would say it is a normal distribution between all types of personalities. I often pursuit talkative and curious girls, and never had a problem to find such down in sunny Davao. Not Schopenhauer or Hegel, but interesting enough.

I've done that, mostly its been positive, and a real learning experience.

- One girl's family lived in a shack withing a few yards of a river and the bay and only a few feet above water level. One child was sick with a fever. I don't remember being hit on for anything. Funny I remember as I walked in with her a neighbor said "ah Vina is going to be married soon". haha

- One was one of those 15-20 people come into the house to see me. I sprang for a lunch for about 10 or so. Also a child with a fever in a room next door. I gotta remember to bring little presents or candy for kids, or maybe just aspirin and antibiotics?

- One trip into central Mindanao, again a bunch in a poor house. They had a "special needs" child there. A surprising thing, her dad had a small farm in the middle of the pineapple fields. We went up there and they cooked up a couple of pigs. Also they had horses! I enjoyed a ride with the girl around the fields. A nice sporty girl, but too skinny for my liking. I was out a few thousand pesos for the food and driver.

- One house there was a 1/2 white child there. I was told the father was American and disabled, and was divorcing the mom. What a dope. I picked the little girl up and she called me "daddy".

- One girl her mom and sister and her ran a road side resto, and lived in a squatters camp. They took me up into the hills to meet relatives. One was a manager at Dole, another was a policeman. We visited a nice hot spring in the mountains, and I toured some of the Dole plantation in Bukidnon. I was out a few thousand for the car and some lunches and resort fees.

- A girl I married and divorced. Her family were very nice, took care of me. When I shelled out for booze they managed to find money for a pig or chicken. Also trips for a bunch of them to local hot springs was nice. And a trip to see their "home country" in the real mountains. Saw people planting corn by hand, and hauling it out with horses. We couldn't see their old house as the river crossing was too deep for the van. Definitely some country girl potential in that place, but I could never show up on my own! I don't wanna add up how much they were into me in $ with the marriage and divorce overall!

So they were positive learning experiences for me, especially learning to nicely say 'no'. And a way to see some of the back country and learn stuff that I would not see on my own.

I've had both Jambo's experience, where the family was kind to me and asked for little or nothing. And I've had Sammon's experience, where they attempted to get every last nickel from my wallet.

You never know what you're going to get.

I have also enjoyed my experiences in the province, and I think it really opens your eyes to what life is like for a good percentage of the population.
I have also had a good number of bad experiences when dealing with my wife's family.
MY wife had money when I met her so we have always been pretty equal in the money department which is dam unusual for the country. The family's are a whole other ball game.
We finally sold our house and apartment building and moved are asses far enough away from them.
They never stop in their quest to get money out of our pockets. Every day brings a new emergency.
After I caught them stealing money from a small business we ran, I cut them off. That was about the time they threatened to kill me.
MY wife told me that it was just Filipino bola bola....call me silly but I get a little pissy when people do that.
When you have half wit neighbors with auto weapons, you have to take things seriously.
Quite honestly the pressure most of these girls are under to provide for the families is immense.
If you are just here for fun, there is absolutely no reason to be involved with the family.
If you are looking for a wife be prepared to support a bus load of dead beats.
Even though my wife was not like most Filipina, if I had to do it over I would just monger.
