Looks like this guy has probably a Go Pro (waterproof) HD camera mounted on a water cannon, better than average HD video of the craziness on Soi 4 in Nana.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0AIzwE-Tzo
I've been here since Sunday and have repeatedly gotten soaked the last few days. It has been a fun experience but I agree with the veteran posters who replied to my previous post asking about Songkran info. It is fun at first but then gets pretty old. There are definitely some "hot spots" but hard if you are in the Sukhumvit area to not get wet when you head outside of your hotel.
Next time I will either arrive the last day of Songkran or skip it altogether. LOL I think (I'm hoping anyways) that today is the last day of the water fights. Something tells me it may still persist in a few pockets tomorrow.

You guys really like nitty gritty on why I don't like Makkasan.
1. I am a business traveller, not a long term resident or vacationer in BKK. My company pays for me to stay at Novotel at the Airport between flights. I have no reason nor justification to stay in the city as we have no offices in BKK. Time therefore is especially short. Struggling with BKK traffic, taxi drivers or long walks to stations is not an option. I may have four hours on some occasions.
2. My experience at Makkasan has invariably been. Difficult to get a taxi from the station, difficult to navigate to the Phetchaburi station to get to Asok (no connection at that time, so had to walk out to the street, cross the street, then to the next line). At least at Phaya Thai one can easily change to Sukhumvit line.
For you guys that do live in BKK or get to take long leisurely vacations it's great for you.
For me, the weakness has always been that the lines were not perfectly aligned, unlike Phaya Thai. This wastes time. Agreed, the time from Phaya Thai to Asok is probably just as long, but at least it is airconditioned and comfortable.
Taking the City Line train is cheap but especially painful with many stops to return to my base at the airport.
Not all of us can have a leisurely stay in BKK. I would hazard that most readers would be in my situation, a couple of hours in an unfamiliar or new city.
Years ago, I used to stay in Hotels in Makkasan (e. G. D'Ma) , and it did not inhibit my mongering at all. Soapy CP II was close. Also Plaza, Aqua and Petchburi Soapies. Not far from MRT to go to Ratchada. Also easy motorcycle ride to Nana. Just so happens, I wasn't into Oily ugly porn stars back then. Okay These days Makkasan traffic is bad, but motorcycle through back Sois is quick enough.
Not that its relevant to the Airport Express in any way at all. If you were ever actually in BKK, why would you need to take Airport express from Phaya Thai? Just forget the Airport express unless it happens to really suit you. For years it never existed.
Okay You only do PSE Oilies. It was me I wouldn't want to stay right next to Tulip or the others. Working girls outside coming or leaving might recognise me too often.
These days I am very happy to stay close to Petchaburi MRT station. I find I can get to a wide range of mongering destinations quite quickly.
AF
I was supposed to stay in BKK from last Sunday till Wednesday. After two Songkrans in Samui and one in BKK I opted to cancel my stay in BKK and headed elsewehere in a non "Songkran" place, where I had a girl waiting for me. No P4P, so more expensive as air trip and 3 nights in 5 star hotel would havbe let me live and monger for few weeks in LOS. But that is life.

AF
I have been in the Sukhumvit area in the last week. I found that a good idea is to carry my laptop bag (emptied of course) in my hand; people would then never shoot water at me.

Walked into Ipanema in Singapore last Sat evenin to find 5-6 girls from Shark with the Thai pimpstress that bring these girls over.
Walked into Ipanema in Singapore last Sat evenin to find 5-6 girls from Shark with the Thai pimpstress that bring these girls over.
Has something changed into the local Asian politics and now Singspore and BKK are the same country? LOL.
I mean.. Of we start tracking back to BKK the Thai girls working our of their country, it will require a thread of its own.
Walked into Ipanema in Singapore last Sat evenin to find 5-6 girls from Shark with the Thai pimpstress that bring these girls over.
And do you like the Shark look? I find most Shark girls rather too similar to the fake Baccara look.
I went to Crazy House for a perv (look). One girl looked so similar to a famous athletic looking power girl from Tulip past, I was stunned. Could well have been a Y younger sister. Magnificent tits even if only a B and no nose job. She doesn't come from Udon though and name was May tattooed on her body. Her dance style suggested she would be good. Postponed the further probe.
I had already fucked a Boss MP girl twice and 3 other girls, on my first day so that was well and truly enough for me. Maybe would not have stopped some guys but I was getting a bit weak in the legs.
Twice bumped into a guy in the bars, one year younger than me who comes originally from just 2 streets away from where I lived as a kid. Amazed he was into groping girls despite having been a gynaecologist. LOL.

I'd hate to be found wrong with thousands of dollars of laptop destroyed though.

AV
A lot of the least thoughtful behaviour comes from the tourists from reports I hear. They are cretins. No would dream of carrying the laptop unprotected. Just a laptop bag is a good tactic.

Coming to stay in LOS for a year or two in a couple of weeks. Will be interesting to report back my findings.

Fairly rare (and apparently) recent video of Ran Hime Japanese Karaoke Club on Soi 33 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdXLljOLhrk
Amazing how many Japanese are addicted to nicotine, in fact one of the highest cigarette smoking rates in the world, vs Thai females one of the lowest rates of smoking in the world. In the video at least 3 of the 4 Japanese have packs of cigarettes on the table, Thai males also have high rate. Not suprising why so few Thai women do full mouth to mouth kissing, and could be one of the few advantages (non smoking at least) Falangs typically have over many Japanese nicotine addicted customers
I am very surprised management even allowed this video to be taken as it very clearly shows identity of the girls, so it must be related to business being way off recently
A second video which definitely could also only be done with full permission of the shop as he's using (as indicated elsewhere) a real Sony HDR not a hidden cell phone camera: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNEFbETLNzI
