What's left? Maybe Jakarta, as it is not a destination that people go to live.
I disagree with you on this one, quite a lot of expats live there, it's just such a sprawling city that you don't see a lot of them. I didn't realise how many until I was out for lunch with a Korean client and we went to a Korean restaurant. I was a bit surprised that there were so many Korean restaurants in Jakarta and he explained that there are 35,000 Koreans living there! Quite a few Aussies live there plus there are a lot of Dutch, being a former colony, and a lot of people travel there regularly. I've spent a fair bit of time there but the scene has changed a lot over the past few years. Hotel Mulia seems to be the best spot these days, but I haven't been there for almost a year now, so things might have changed. The radical Islamist movement picked up a bit of steam a few years back and I believe that had a big effect on Block M, which I hear is pretty dead.
Anyway, BKK is still a fun place and the closest for me to get to for some action.
