Also some ATMs using the debit function ask with or without conversion to your currency. NEVER accept conversion paying with credit card or taking cash from ATM. The exchange rate is some 3% 4% worse. They offer clear charging in your currency for the sake of clearness, but it's a pricey "service".

I am very pissed off when the restaurant charges the amount on my VISA with conversion to EUR. As you say, they basically do it for ignorance.

I spent time trying to explain this to waiters and the lady at the cashier of Angus Brangus but they were just looking at me with politely dumb eyes.

Observations which many of you probably already know:

-Use no foreign transaction fee credit cards for restaurants and you get the best exchange rate. A few restaurants add a surcharge for CC use but the menu should state it.

-No need for Colombia Cupid, FB, or other online methods unless your trip is sufficiently long. I wasted much time chatting up CC girls but the immediate on ground talent appeared just as good. Certainly a few gems can be found online but they consume effort and time and the outcome is not any more certain. My feeling is that the online ones are no more or less pro or semi-pro than what you might find in any of the bars.

-Most if not all of the high-end regular apartments prohibit escorts, loud parties, or drug use. However, friendliness and taking care of the security guards has tangible benefits. Just don't abuse the rules.

-Strip joints were a hit and miss, some cuties and not many beauties. Also be cautious of your surroundings.

-El Poblado seems to be where the new money is. Saw Ferrari, Hummer limos, Audi R8, Benz and beammers mostly Bogota plates. Also explains why some chicas wanted 400 K for an hour, albeit 9's. As a point of comparison, a SW in centro told my buddy 30 K.

-Taxis and metro are cheap and efficient. Make sure driver turns on the taxi meter, small screen right by the rearview mirror. Yes in years past I would start a month or so before my planned trip but every time I got so busy with other venues and chicas that I met and followed through with maybe 2 or 3 out of the bunch.

If I want a hooker in Colombia then I know where to find them cheap and without wasting tons of time. I have never understood preplotting hookers. For me, getting a hooker is more of a spur of the moment, on the spot, impulse purchase. I wouldn't plan particular ones weeks in advance.

There is nothing like setting up a harem weeks before your trip, getting down there and actually being in between your fantasy chick and getting around to 90% of your list.

I met a "normal" chick in person once. We met and had wings. She had to go to a birthday party afterwards, so she left and I went back to my apartment and got back to trying to get to everyone in the harem. I could have smashed the next day I am positive (she was pissed that I didn't hit her up any more during my stay), but if you want to have a serious discussion about saving time, it ain't with "normal girls". With them I have to leave my place. With prepagos, the taxi shows up, she gets out. Taxi shows up, she gets in. With regulars and TLN we order in and get wasted.

If I were in the city for more than a month or two, I'd be all over the normal girl track. After a few days I am at the point that I've gotten rid of all the "thirst" built up while incarcerated in Sex Prison and can stand to be around a beautiful woman and not try to smash at first bat.

[/QUOTE]I do look for chicks online beforehand, but normal non-pros to date and get to know and do normal stuff with. Most of the time when I deal with hookers it is a one and done, so I don't put a bunch of stock into finding them and cultivating them. To me they are just like fast food.

It seems I wasn't clear.

I meant that the best way to spend your money is to use your credit card at any business that accepts credit cards such as markets, restaurants, etc. instead of using cash.

Hesitating between these places.

I know Tijuana well and have been several times. My system is perfectly set up that I can bang 10 chicks a day if I want to there, without moving from the hotel. But I'm a bit bored of Tijuana and want to explore new horizons LOL.

-Not looking for GFE or flirting / picking up non-pros.

-Only looking for pros, and don't like to move around too much. It's all about getting many girls a day, without wasting time, straight to the point.

-My budget is flexible.

-I enjoy my comfort aka having a nice hotel close to everything.

-Spanish level. Intermediate.

Did a bit of research and I'm open to both places (Medellin: casas + strip clubs) or Sosua (bars). Input? Thanks!

In my case I had face timed with a lawyer, a boutique owner, a dentist, and some others over a couple months in advance having met them through social media. I got their WhatsApp, Instagram or FB and spent a fair deal of time making a personal connection with them, all "normal" people. Yet I reached the conclusion that my mission objective was to monger as much as possible and not date or find a girlfriend. After all said and done I was on the ground for 3 1/2 days and given the goal to satisfy my thirst as much as possible my approach had to accommodate this timeframe. That's why I abandoned the original social media approach.

All of them have a unique aspect To them. Tijuana like you says has quick easy centralized fun. Sosua has the beach, clubs and overnight stays. Medellin has the city life Casas, strip clubs, bars and clubs. I recommend all three and go to the one that you have a craving for.

Seeing her, you'd never guess she was P4 P. You would guess some high-roller's girlfriend, wife or daughter. I eventually found out that she was P4 P and spent 2 nights with her. This girl was enthusiastically into anything and everything. Before leaving she connected to me on facebook with her real profile (family, friends, pets, dates, etc). I've glanced at her profile over the past few years and basically this girl's life outside of whatever time she spent / spends in Panama is "normal".

My point being. When prostitution is legal. I suspect most hot girls have used P4P (at least as a side gig) to supplement their income. Especially if they have kids.

As I resided in years past in LOS Angeles I have spent considerable time from about 1999 to 2004 then again from 2009 through about 2016 in Tijuana, many many fine memories and some of the girls from long past at AB and HK I am still in contact from time to time if nothing else just to say Hello,.

Well also spent 2 weeks in Sosua about a year ago but as many of you know I reside in Medellin for the past 4 or 5 years, all 3 are different but my heart is, at least for the time being, centered on Medellin.

My advice is visit them all, I am glad I went to Cuba 3 years ago and Rio a few decades ago, heck don't rest just go do it and experience it.
