I don't think there is going to be another commodities boom like the 2000's. China has a decelerating economy that won't require as many commodities. They are certainly not going to stockpile them.

No matter how poor, parents in Asia spend a huge amount of their time and money to make their kids think rationally, defer gratification and get good grades. [/QUOTE]With all due respect to Sperto and Cane, I find by PahllusMaximus to be one of the best writers on this site, with very meaningful and valuable life advice for how to maintain life balance and happiness while embracing the hobby in Rio (with financial thoughts mixed in). It is all connected. His posts are definitely not just about currency exchange. Either way though PahllusMaximus I appreciate your world view and it has made a positive impact in my life in Brazil for certain.
I just spent 9 days in Rio and am leaving my thoughts below. Background is an early 40's guys who has been mongering for quite a while, but mostly in Colombia of late.
Lodging.
I had a 2 bed / 2 bath airbnb in Copacabana, close to Leme Beach for $80/ nt. It was a bit dated, but plenty of room and the doormen were cool with my 1 girl a day or every other day incall.
Termas.
4 x4: Went 2 times. Once on a Friday night around 6 pm and there were 30 girls and 15 guys. I can't recall prices exactly, but I think entry was 60 R, beers / water 20 R, and then girls*420 R to 490 R for an hour based on the size of room you choose.
