I am standing in the same area months later and I hear a thud. People start to gather outside a hotel I stayed at for 3 weeks. More and more people gathered so I walked over and see a guy laying on the cement but he was alive. I was told he either jumped or was thrown out the second or third floor of the hotel. Not sure sure if he died later on or not but it took 35 minutes before he was taken away.

This is my second PH visit after staying 2 months in manila in june and July. This time i directly came AC and booked a serviced condo in *kandi towers for a month ( trying to talk with host to make my stay shorter now )

AC is a dump. *There is nothing to do around , nothing to eat nearby walking street. I mostly use grab to order proper food. And i cannot wait to go back my *lovely gramercy residence in makati soon. *I collected lots of number before coming here and as usual 2/3 of girls just disappeared when i told them i arrived to AC. I really have no idea why girls do it. With some girls I almost talked everyday for 2 weeks , we made many plans o go Subic and even i offered to take them boracay. and as usual *they just ghosted as soon as i told them im in the town. Rest 1/3 still ok but nowhere near makati girls. About WS bars ;

The one downside (and that matters a lot for some on this forum) is the girls are far less attractive on average, so you need to look a little extra to get something to your liking. The party scene which is a big deal for me personally is very different but both extremes are enjoyable.

Will be back in AC soon still around the 20th even with all the complaints, it's better than staying home.

I realize that in the past you can find standby taxi drivers either at the airport arrivals area, or on the street, willing to take you door / door for 2500-3000. But with gasoline price hikes, I am no longer sure of prices. Anyone taken a taxi to AC in the past 6-ish months?

BeeWay Travel is what I've always taken. They raised their rate from Manila to AC to 3500. Completely worth it. Private car with AC and a courteous driver who doesn't chit chat.

The real cost issue right now is the price of the airfare. I've always gotten from LA to MNL for about $1500, they are now around $2600+ for December, which is when I plan to return. I'll still do it but I won't be happy about it.

The only price changes I've seen is if a flight is cancelled, I receive a credit but the new ticket may be at a different price. Sadly that happens all the time now with the airline chaos. Now I just cash out if there are any dramas as credit etc aren't worth the hassle.
