Actually Martini is different from before.

In the last few years, the talent at Martinis IMHO was kind of marginal. Of course there were a few young good looking exceptions.

I was there a few weeks ago. It seems that the overall talent went up. Several decent looking ones.

I'm guessing that the crack down benefited Martinis. A lot of the places closed, so those girls have to go work somewhere.

I was in Le Cyrcee recently and they were asking for $5 BF plus $20 for the girl for ST, but they also told me that if I wanted to BF a girl it was also compulsory to buy them a lady drink ($3) before leaving, which I found kind of strange - I am not sure whether that compulsory lady drink is really a rule of the bar or just one more ad hoc trick to get a few extra bucks from you.

I had taken two girls from 104 Bar. The barfine was $7. No demand nor did I buy a LD. The moment I entered alone one girl got very clingy and constanstly hugging and letting my hands wander all over. After couple of drinks I asked her if she wanted to go with me. She said yes. Did not ask how much was the barfine, just gave her a $10 bill. She came back with $3 change. Back in the room she was good . The deal was for LT and I had clearly told her. Afterwards she feined stomach ache and wanted to leave. I really felt bad for her and let her go. Next night I went to the same bar and she got clingy again. By this time I had wised up. I asked one of the other girls who spoke very good english to fix me up with a nice girl for LT. She brought this young cute girl who was nice. She wanted $40 for LT for which I agreed. I gave the other girl a tip of $5. The arfine was $7.
Back in the room with broken english this girl said she has been working only for a week and had not gone out with anybody. Ofcourse she claimed her family is very poor etc. She said she did not make much money working there. The reason is she said there are rooms upstairs or in the back for ST. All the other girls do ST and make money. She said she was afraid and did not want to do it. I guess by now if she is still working there she has learned ways of making money.
Anyway she was very accomodating although not experienced. A sweet girl.
We did it three times. In the morning I took her to breakfast and gave her $40 and $10 tip.
I wanted to see her again but I was leaving Phnom Penh.
I guess the advice for mongers is try to talk to one of the hostesses and ask her to recommend a girl for LT. It is just like being friendly with the mamasan in other places. The girl I was talking to also said very few people take the girls for LT.

She wanted to stay until her start time at the bar (5 pm) but he said he couldn't handle any more sex. So she left.

The impression they left with me was that they both could have kept their girls LT.

That's standard now. That's how he increased his revenue without having to increase his barfine.

In this particular instance I was talking to one lady, with a couple of unwanted observers around, you know how it is… So I finished my drink and I decided to BF her, ask for the bill and they bring the bill $3 higher than expected, and place one drink on the bar, I tell them i am leaving now and I didn’t request any LD but they insist that a LD is compulsory when bar-fining.

What a waste of time for everyone, just raise the fucking BF from $5 to $8 if you are that desperate!

A couple of nights ago I went with a chick to Voo Doo Bar on Street 108. I really fell in love with a 23 year old named Iyah but I could not bf her because I had a promise with my friend.

Last night, I went to Voo Doo Bar, played with the cute 23 year old (she looks 18 and is very petite) but again I could not bf her because I had yet another promise with my friend (who keeps me drained, and is not jealous).

It gives you a chance to hang out with her a bit and see if she feels like the right choice. (It also has the advantage of getting rid of all the other girls bothering you.) So if it is compulsory now, it still doesn't affect most of us. Anyhow it's only a few bucks, and god only knows how much the guy has to cough up every month just to keep his place open. I complain a bit about the quality there now, but I won't complain about the price, not yet anyhow.

So you paid this chick $50 for the night plus you had already paid a $7 bf.

I'm glad you had a great time but seriously $57 for a girl in Cambodia is way over the top. Its not far short of what a standard cop earns in a month.

And I know that you can afford it and she was super cute and I'm a cheap charlie but no wonder the market is becoming distorted. Phnom Penh RIP.

Quality always cost more money. Apart from freelancer bars you have to pay more money to get a cute girl from hostess bars. Many do not even want to go like girls from Shanghai Bar. I am not into romancing those girls to get into their pants.
Actually the total cost was $62 with $5 given to the girl who introduced this girl to me. In freelancer bars including martini my offer will not go more than $30 LT and most often $25. I hardly ever take a girl ST.

I agree, that's roughly the same as her monthly salary at the hostess bar.

But some girls are asking for it, anyway, as there is a market for them.

There are 4 brothels with only Vietnamese hookers in (I believe) street 63, around 3 minutes by motorbike from Heart.

When I went they quoted me $25 for an in-house ST (one pop), but that obviosly included the bike driver's commission, I'd be surprised if the rate was higher than $15, but has anyone had any experience there and knows the real (commission free) going rate that you'd get if you go on your own?

I mean, you can get easily nice girls for $25 ST's at hostess bars ($20 + $5 BF), so those low end brothels must be much cheaper for sure.
