I"m actually thinking of splitting my stay between Bad Homburg (Oases) and Geissen (World)...hotel recomendations in Geissen anyone?

Cold to me is -40F...all the rest is balmy :)...Besides, I'll be there in June and hopefully, my fluid levels will be so low after a session I won't be able to freeze.

Best Western Hotel Steinsgarten is a full service hotel in the center of Giessen but is still convenient to World. The downside is it is a bit more expensive, which may not be worth it if you are staying at the hotel only a few hours per day.

1. Where do you keep your toothbrush and cologne in the Hessen Big Three..locker room locker or valuables locker?
2. How long, time wise in a PRACTICAL sense, does it take to drive from the Frankfurt Airport to Bad Homburg exit of A5 and the Giessen Exit of A5. I get different numbers from Google earth vis a vis Yahoo, etc.
3. Any guys with a bit of...um....girth driven one of those smart cars (I am thinking of using Sixt.de)

It's very famous for its low prices (a hugo boss suit at 250 euros instead of 1500+...) and all the brands around it.
Now there's another good news, they have agreements with Hertz and you can rent a car for 22 euros a day instead of 79! and it goes along if you take multiple days.
Unfortunately the mileage is only 150 kilometers, so no way you can get to Francfort without paying another 60 euros.
But for the rest, or with your own car, the trip is worthy just in savings.

2: 10 minutes to Bad Homburg exit. 25-30 minutes to Giessen exit if there is no traffic congestion.
3: You mean sixti.de. Chances are you will actually get a small regular car (like VW Polo) since they are charing the fleet with Sixt. If you are worried about size, take the larger model at Sixti...it is only few euros more.

But I'd rather plan 40 minutes to Giessen (exit Fernwald and then annother 7-8 minutes to Pohlheim/Garbenteich). It's around 65 km to the exit and about 9 or 10km to World in Pohlheim.
Well, that's just me. I don't have a fast car.

Don't wanna be fuzzy either, but Frank is asking about the time to the Giessen exit (probably since he is booked at hotel there) which is the A45 exit (since that is the fastest way to Giessen), but not the "World" exit which would be the Fernwald exit which is about 5-7 minutes further up A5.
My bad I should have specified the World exit, but my bad, I wasnt clear.
In any event sounds like the Adler hotel to Oase is just around the corner, and to world from the hotel is 20 minutes. Thats a baby run, I once drove Toronto Ontario to Alaska in 6 days in the winter.
