I've called individuals out on this before. All get is silence. I got short time for 500 one time. I've been posted up for much longer than many posters that are really just short time visitors over many years have time with actual [I]boots on the ground[/I].

A girl needs a certain amount to just shower, put make up on and dress up. If you are getting 1200 LT and 600ST please let me know. Even the individual who claims to get 1200ST will readily admit he does not get 600ST.

I went to Foodland and they had my favorite laundry detergent for 90 baht. When I got to the counter the lady told me I should go get another off the shelf because they are buy one get one free today. According to some, if I pay the usual rate of 90 baht, it is impossible for them to give me one for free. Since I am now paying 90 baht and getting 2, does that mean I can tell the cashier that is okay, I will only take this 1 and pay 45 baht?

If you are not getting 2 nuts a night when you do LT in my opinion you are just paying a girl to sleep with you. I am not that lonely or desperate. So at 1200* LT with two nuts that is 600 a nut. Not bad!

FACT: No girl going with you for short time is going to give you two shots without prior negotiation nor at the standard cost of 1000 - 2000 for Short Time.

Still ground zero for posting up. My crew enjoyed it. No hassles with drinks. Until I left. My crew reported that they were requested to purchase additional drinks in less than a polite manner by one member of the staff working the venue. The same behavior was not exhibited by our usual server so I'm uncertain if this a pattern in the venue or of just a particular server in that venue.

She was saying the opposite, they didn't have enough tables in the bar and had to add some tables directly in the soi.

She added that this time of the season was excellent for them.

I've never been asked to pay less than 300 for the detergent I choose. I wouldn't let my socks anywhere near a 90 baht laundry detergent.

Speaking of two for one, there was a two for one on some good granola last week, so I added it to my online tops order with a bunch of other stuff I didn't want to carry. Or so I thought. When the stuff was delivered there was only granola pack there. When I checked my receipt, I saw I must have bungled something, and had instead taken advantage of the "pay for one, get one" offer.

I've never heard thais refer to blacks or russians (how would they even know he's Russian and not e.g. German?) as not farang. They're all farangs.

A new bar complex with 12 bars is going to open between Myth Night and Treetown.

I had a lady fire herself last night. She was on shaky ground before, but last night sealed her fate.

Lately she comes with the intent to drink and fuck as quickly as possibly, probably to get some cash to go out with her friends later (or to have money for a Thai man). She showed up last night and announced she really couldn't drink much, and grabbed a small beer.

And then one of her friends called her constantly. The official story was that the friend was sick and needed her help. And only her help, other friends' help was not wanted.

So I dismissed her after a couple of hours, and she practically ran out of the condo. For the last time.

I'm obviously no thai scholar, and can barely string a primitive sentence together, but farang khi nok is afaik usually taken to mean stingy farang, even though the literal meaning is as you quote. I often hear it playfully said back to me when I e.g. insist on paying 1000, not 1500, for a BJ at some random massage shop.

"White trash" is obviously something much uglier, and not something you can playfully say to someone.

A Russian will be called a "Russia" in Thai. Thais can know the guy (or the girl) is a Russian the same way as we do. They generally look different, speak a different language, behave differently and mostly stay among themselves. Thais can differentiate them very easily by now, they've been exposed to quite a few Russians during these last years.

A black guy will never be called a Farang, he'll be called a "toua dam", a "nico," a "Africa" or a "America toua dam" if the guy comes from the US.

Same goes for an American guy from Chinese ancestry, he'll not be called a Farang just because he's American.

Or the British guy of Indian ancestry, he'll not be called a Farang either.

I've had good female thai friends, who I remained friends with for years (until I moved), and more than once I referred to them as thai khi nok. If you have some social antenas, you will easily be able to tell the difference between playful banter and something else.
