Concert, Wakiki, Vienna Club, Macumba
So, for all those who heped me out with my question, thanks! (sarcasm intended)
We went to the concert at La Aviance or whatever. It was really great. The "famous" salsa band payed for more than an hour. I really enjoyed them although I think they pale (odd African description) compared to the similar Brazilian bands. 5 cedis entrance. 22-25oz. Beers 3 cedis. So, in a glutonous language we all understand, a ool, outdoor setting. 3 bands, entrance plus 4 12 oz. Beers was $7 US. Way cool.
In addition to a really nice crowd of locals, there were quite a number of white folks. Good crowd all around. Minus points for the French ass hole who drove us to my first address for Macumba Night Club. When that turned out to be wrong, he dumped us off right there to find a taxi to where we needed to go. We were a mile fro the actual location and I gave him my GPS. Can't wait till next time a French person needs help in JFK.
So, reviews;
Wakiki: I know that's not the spelling in Hawaii, but it is correct. On Friday night, cover 7CD's. The giant bouncer had to wake the teller. Same thing happened last year. It's an "okay" club with good music, a nice dance floor, and 4 cedi beers. There were some pretty hot hirls. Two attempted to extract me from my money, no luck.
Vienna Club: One entrance adjacent to Wakiki. Cool pace, los of pool tables. A little casino enclave off ot the right. I played there a little while. I made an over-sized bet by a mistake, but made a bunch of money. So, I bought bers for a ll of the players. Stupid.
Macumba: Actually in the mall. I will delete the bad post. Nice place, fun group. If semi-pros, well hidden.
