Foreigners are required by law to carry passports or resident card, I believe. That doesn't mean they always do. I carry my drivers license but always leave the other stuff home if I'm out mongering, but then I don't mix alcohol with my mongering, ever. I've never been hassled by the cops (yet). If I'm working at my day job, I have my business portfolio with me and that contains the required documents. You enter from street level, but go up a wide staircase up to the club.There is a map on this page, but no English./www.hinomarukanko.com/other/shop_info.htmlFrom what I understand, Hino Maru means the "round of the sun", and so refers to the Japanese flag. You will find this flag symbol on the streets on posts telling you that you are on the right track to Hino Maru. At least from what I remember (been a while since I was there).V.

There is some good advice in these threads re: credit card fraud. It is good that people post these stories, as they serve as a good warning to everyone else. Reading different forums, these scams exist everywhere in the world. If prostitution is illegal in a country, it can be very difficult to go to the police with your problem. Sometimes you just have to accept these incidents as very expensive life lessons. I just can't imagine Japanese police being very helpful, especially if the yak are involved.

[/QUOTE]Similar thing happened to me in Akasaka, except i did not get drunk only expertly ripped off and in order to get away i took the hit, in my case 100,000 yen. I just put it down to experience and these days am very cautious. I have discovered that Japan (and to a letter extent HK) are the most experienced locations at ripping off customers who they think are good targets (and in your case drunk, which is very foolish). Single gaijing guys scream out "target" to these places. If it seems too good to be true, its too good to be true.Anyway - i have found charge cards such as american express or diner's card are the most sympathetic when disputing incorrect charges. Master card and Visa tend to require more proof. But in your case (and my case) it may be hard to prove, especially if you actually signed the first 140,000 yen bill.

I just finished up two days in Tokyo and have good and bad to report. The good was that I visited Supergirls twice and had a great time both times. I wish we had something like that in Los Angeles. It is a little strange with everyone being in one room, but the first time I went I was the only one there and the second time, there was someone in the back and I was in the front so I didn't really notice the other guy. I said "you're not going to hit me up for more money once I'm inside?" and he assured me he would not. Once inside, there were three girls, a black girl, a Brazilian, and an Asian. He sent the black girl over to me and then explained that while my drinks were free, I could buy her a drink for 3000 yen if I wanted to (so much for not hitting me up for more money). Black girls aren't my thing, so I chatted with her while she kept asking me if she could have a drink. I kept looking at the Asian girl who was wearing the sluttiest dress I've ever seen. The Jamaican sent over the Brazilian girl so I had two out of the three girls. They both wanted drinks, and the Brazilian girl kept grabbing my crotch. As nicely as I could, I told them I wanted to buy the Asian girl a drink. The Jamaican told me that would be fine but it would cost me 3000 yen since that was a "request." I said OK, and he swapped out the Asian girl for the two girls I had. Over the next hour and half, I drank about 6 whiskeys and bought about 4 or 5 drinks for the Asian girl. There was a lot of touching and some kissing but no actual sex. After my hour and half ended, I got up to leave and realized I was much drunker than I should have been. The Jamaican asked where I was going, and I told him my hour and a half were up. He said "no problem, you get another hour and a half for free," but I headed for the door. The Jamaican and the Asian girl followed me out onto the street and I discovered that I could barely walk. I stumbled around until I found a taxi, somehow managed to give him directions to my hotel, got back to my room, and threw my guts up for the next hour. I don't know if that was all from the liquor or if there was something else in the liquor but I was sick. I was also broke, as the evening cost me about 30,000 yen. Looking back on it, I did have a good time with the Asian girl. It was like being on a date with a hot looking almost naked girl and grabbing and touching wherever I liked for an hour and a half, but I could have done without the being sick part. 30,000 yen was a little much, but I suspect that's not out of line for other hostess bars.The next night, still a bit queezy from the night before, I avoided Kabukicho altogether, sticking to the safety of Supergirls.Sorry for the somewhat long report, but I thought it might be helpful for others to know what will happen to you if you follow one of the Jamaicans to his secret hideaway. After lurking for years, I have the pleasure to finally contribute with a post.Hit Supergirls in Shimbashi area. Great directions, pretty easy to find.There is a sign that shows the girls working there. However, before I could choose the guys comes out to get started with 7000yen for 30-40min, I forget. Anyhow, paid the dude, went in and in the corner of my eye I saw this girl that I thought was butt ugly. I saw one ok looking girl but she was occupied. I have to agree with the previous posting about Club Boo. I've used CB and Asian Mystique many times, and have always had an excellent experience. Of the many great things about living in Tokyo, CB and AM are some of the best. Always a GFE, and I even briefly dated one after she quit her "job".
