Everyone can tell you what THEY prefer. In the end, nobody can tell you what you like, you have to find out for yourself.
BTW, The slowest days at BB, tend to be Sun and the early part of the week, for the simple reason that there are usually few customers there. In that case, if you see a photo of a girl you like, ask to have her called in. The weekends tend to be more filled with customers, and more lively, with events on Friday and Saturday nights, Just FYI.

You might get a lower hotel rate in hurricane season, than the rate on Superbowl weekend. Whether they are full or empty, whether they include breakfast or not, whether they include dinner or not, whether you are in the newest renovated room or not, king bed or not, air conditioning or not, double occupancy or not, or whether you stay for one night, one week, or one month. As a peaceful regular, you might get a better price, the best room, or a free upgrade.
Most travelers know and expect this sort of thing and don't usually make a big deal about it! :)

From what I seen and heard they are not significantly more attractive (and often less) than can be found freelancing in town. Could even be the same chicas. And it does seem a little isolated. I also have this fear of choosing a good one, then having to wait in line for her because everybody else is keeping her busy.
Stay in town and your options are unlimited, beaches, restaurants, shops, and hundreds of freelancers.

I usually stay there. But if you take the girl for breakfast or dinner there is a charge. It is better to eat dinner there before hunting. Choices of Dinner is good.
Europa is ok with basic amenities. Never stayed at Rocky, s.
I usually rent a car, so zooming around town or outside is not a problem.

Or, email and ask the hotel for a list of pics of the chicas. They are NOT freelancing on the streets.
For a newbie, you get a degree of quality control in a controlled environment that you will not get on the streets. No druggies, no scam artists, no drama queens. You have somewhere to take your complaints. The girls get monthly medical checkups for STDs. There are local restaurants within walking distance, and a good one at the hotel. If you need a wild night life every night, than Sosua is it. If you want a more laid-back, quiet environment, try Costambar. On a good day, you can have the local beach all to yourself. You can rent a COT, and get a beer right on the beach.
As I said earlier, other people can tell you what THEY like, but try a little of both, and see for yourself what YOU like.
Sunrise is excellent and the food is very good. I also like Sosua Suites the apartment across the street from Rockies. The price is about 65 but it is very close to the action. My personal favorite is Europa. The rooms wifi are very good. $40 is excellent price.

When I come to SD I import talent from around the island to visit me. This time I have the option of a hot local SD girl. The draw back with local girls is they have more control and can leave when ever they want to. The month before I travel I troll DR Cupid for good options. It is amazing how many hot women are anxious to hookup. My issue is whether go with bird in hand or the hot girl in the Bush.

In my humble opinion this is the nicest place for the dollar you can stay in Sosua. I paid 72 cash a night. It is located in the same complex as Bailey and also owned by them.

Such places are money traps. If wasting one's money by hugely overpaying makes one feel "elite" and "special" so be it, but BB does not fall into that category.
