Just a quick P.S. The term "adult resort" for some, conjures up the idea of places that advertise Eastern European women, or "elite" local women.
Such places are money traps. If wasting one's money by hugely overpaying makes one feel "elite" and "special" so be it, but BB does not fall into that category.
You're still paying the middle man, with a somewhat restricted menu, like on a plane when they run out of chicken.
Some of us like the freelance hunt. I usually split between the casual pick up and bringing in known talent for a couple of days.
There something for everyone!
You're still paying the middle man, with a somewhat restricted menu, like on a plane when they run out of chicken.
The only thing you pay for directly to BlackBeard's is for your room, food, booze, and any transportation arranged. There is no "Middle Man" when it comes to paying for chicas there. You put the money directly in their hand, and they do not have to pay anything to "The House".

At that "other place" there are rules, regulations, health checks, behavior standards, dicipline, auditions, and firings, and probably kick back propinas. There's even a complaints Department!
Otherwise you might as well stay in town at the New Garden.
I m not saying a lot of guys don't prefer to have their chicas lined up for them by somebody else, and are even happy to wait their turn for the hot one. (there's always a hot one!) but it's just not for everybody!
You still didn't evidence anything having to do with your original claim of someone standing between you and the money you pay chicas, or even someone taking a cut from the money the chicas earn there.
Hence, no "Middle Man".
Or maybe Middle Man has a different definition in Canada...

You obviously don't get around much!
But glad to see the spell checkers and the Monger Police back and in full force here.

For the sake of accuracy, the hotel screens the chicas, etc, but that is the extent of a "middle man" role. In exchange for allowing them to ply their trade at the hotel, the girls have to abide by the hotel's rules, but that's it. They don't get a cut of a girl's earnings. The hotel makes their money at the bar and restaurant.
Hotel rates vary. Like airfares. You can have as many as 8 different prices for the same seat on a plane.
You might get a lower hotel rate in hurricane season, than the rate on Superbowl weekend. Whether they are full or empty, whether they include breakfast or not, whether they include dinner or not, whether you are in the newest renovated room or not, king bed or not, air conditioning or not, double occupancy or not, or whether you stay for one night, one week, or one month. As a peaceful regular, you might get a better price, the best room, or a free upgrade.
My my, aren't we a little snarky today. I am familiar with seasonality and fare buckets, I was just under the impression that the hotels in Sosua had fixed year round prices.
-
Sosua Sunrise rates are inclusive of breakfast and Dinner. Rooms are decent. I usually stay there. But if you take the girl for breakfast or dinner there is a charge. It is better to eat dinner there before hunting. Choices of Dinner is good.
Europa is ok with basic amenities. Never stayed at Rocky, s.
I usually rent a car, so zooming around town or outside is not a problem.
Thanks for a clear and snark free response.

If it's not a "man" then it's a "woman", or one of the 30 or so genders you recognize in N.Y.
And, as I said, Adult Resort is officially part of it's name, whatever "connotation" you personally happen to get from that.
If you guys are going to parse all my posts in boring detail, make sure you get it right.

In the past, some years ago, I know of at least two Blackbeard's girls who were subsequently married by customers, (I attended both weddings) but I imagine there must be many more. One of them, the last time I saw her, was getting on a plane to England, and as far as I know is still there.

Where did THAT strawman come from? LOL.
What I said is perfectly clear to the average reader! (YMMV!)
First you come at me with "organized crime and the use of illegally trafficked labor, operating outside of Dominican Law", now with the "illegal pimping"?
Why don't you just go and check it out for yourself Inspector Clouseau, and let us know!
I may even check the place out myself, not my first choice but sounds like I don't have to do a lot of work to guarantee a good lay! Nothing wrong with that!
I'm there to fuck hoes!
I suggest you go with your idea of half and half at the two locations.
Everyone can tell you what THEY prefer. In the end, nobody can tell you what you like, you have to find out for yourself.
BTW, The slowest days at BB, tend to be Sun and the early part of the week, for the simple reason that there are usually few customers there. In that case, if you see a photo of a girl you like, ask to have her called in. The weekends tend to be more filled with customers, and more lively, with events on Friday and Saturday nights, Just FYI.
Thanks for the reply. Still want to keep reading the Sosua thread and then go deep into the Blackbeard one before I finalize my decision.
I did get the Blackbeard newsletter delivered to my inbox today and I have to say there are certain aspects of the place that appeal to me. I'll read about a year's worth of posts in the thread before getting into my concerns.
The more I read the Sosua thread the more concerns I have about the place but nevertheless I am determined to spend some time there during this next trip because after all part of this trip is designed to fulfill the thrill of the hunt.
Either way it appears a split of my vacation time between Sosua and BB is what I am leaning towards and confidence is increasing on my end that this will be my final decision.

In terms of the girls, the hotel doesn't want troublemakers causing problems which would affect business at the hotel, so, such girls (thieves, scams, drama queens) are banned from the hotel. They also insist on uniform rates being charged. All this is to the good, and to the benefit of the customer. But the money earned belongs to the chica, no cuts to the hotel.
And not only is any girl free to leave, but there is a waiting list of girls that want to work there, because the controlled environment benefits them too. Safe atmosphere, no street violence, physically abusive clients, etc.
The term "Adult Resort" is the one the hotel chooses to use, but I said the term can confuse the place with other, overpriced ripoffs out there. Nothing directed against you.

BB's was my first official introduction to the DR. Had I not hooked up with two other guys staying there and also ventured into Sosua on the same trip, I would have likely been going back there repeatedly.
It's actually not a bad strategy to stay there for a day or two given you are guaranteed a certain level of quality and pricing, then move on to Sosua for the remainder of your trip.
