I will be visiting Mombassa in Mid May for 3 nights only. Which is the best option for booking hotels? When I reach the hotel as mentioned on this forum, thru the net or at the airport.

I recommend the above hotel - 2000kes, double room - you will have to negotiate the rate with: Gunny : + 254 734661064 - A very nice lady. Tell her you are recommended by Wayne - via Max. The rooms are superb, only drawback the hotel is little way from the beach, 10min walk, and no air conditioning which some may find essential with the heat in Mombasa.

Also, slight drawback, some distance from Mombasa central, 12km or so, taxi fare can 2000kes, unless you take matatu. Casuarina and Tembo basically on your doorstep. Also you can go to Nyali nakumat, see your granny hanging around with young Rusta:D

I will spend next year 5 weeks in mombasa and searching for an apartment
or studio. Small kittchenete is enough; only for making braekfast/coffee.
Also a freadge. Own shower and SAT-TV should be.
My favourite area would be near the northern nakumatt; not in the
outskirts of nyali. Walking distance to the malindi road.

Well been to Mombasa and one thing strikes out that the very classy ladies hate the cameras so better ask Max to pull a stunt or two on how to set up the classy ones.

Mostly you will note a few look all that well off but the majority who pose the cam are abit broke in some way or the other.

I happened to be at Nakumatt Nyali Books First Restuarant and one word goes down the manager there has ass PS.

In any photo or video store you get lightbulbs with 400 or 500 watt. One screwed into the main socket under the ceiling is enough. They fit into standard sockets.

It might still cause some questioning of "why is your room so bright" but it is far less shocking than lots of gear mounted like on a porn set and therefore helps a lot in getting her where you want.

And it saves a lot of weight.

Indiana hotel is giving me a good deal for 3 nights including breakfast and dinner and airport transfers. I hope some of you guys had some good experiences in that hotel. I believe Tembo disco is not very far from that hotel.

So what is a good deal ? How much they charge now for the apartments;
long term ?
